God is always on time. His perspective on time is beyond our human ability to comprehend. Some may think He is not coming, but His love for people is a big reason why judgment is delayed.

The Apostle Paul's words (2 Corinthians 5:1-9) offer us certainity that for a believer - death is the ultimate trade-in. Believers are are guaranteed a resurrection body. We will trade in earthly, broken-down "tent" bodies for a new, heavenly, "building" body. This sermon includes the humorous personal story of a rubber snake in an African tent.

Mockers mock, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again?" (2 Peter 3:3-4) Although some don’t take Jesus' 2nd coming seriously and treat its discussion like a joke, Jesus Christ is coming again. We can trust God with the details of life. Pastor Greg uses Jesus' interaction with Martha and Mary (Luke 10:38-42) to warn of five joy killers: busyness, self-centeredness,relational stress, pressure, and spiritual frustration. Are you so busy working for Christ that you have no time to sit and listen at His feet?

Engagement with Scripture should prepare a believer for action. Peter suggests three specific areas of which believers need to be reminded: 1) Words of the prophets, 2) Christ's commands from your apostles, and 3) God is in control of the universe. Consider the following, as you consider whether your life reflects wholesome thinking. Are you hungry to learn and change? Do you delight in reading God's Word? Are you open to the Holy Spirit? Are you open to correction? Do you evaluate circumstances by what heaven is involved? Do you had a handle on your feelings and emotions? Do you have God's thoughts and attitudes?

Discouragement should not stop you. You can have courage - the ability to face and deal with difficult circumstances. You can have bravery in the face of danger, steadfastness in the face of opposition, and action in the face of resistance. Here are seven practical steps toward victory. 1) Have a fresh encounter with the Word of God. 2) Follow Jesus and trust Him. 3) Get faith active again. 4) Develop fellowships that encourage. 5) Keep the fire burning. 6) Persevere in the face of opposition. 7) Watch your tongue. You can have victory over discouragement.

The Apostle Peter writes "reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking" (2 Peter 3:1 NIV). Peter seeks to arouse and awaken fully undistorted, pure, sincere thinking. Are you leaning into wholesome thinking?

Are you ready to drive into your God-blessed life? God has already planned for you to have victory. Abraham's example (Hebrews 11:8-10) offers good advice as you embark on the journey. 1) Energize your faith (the drive is up to you). 2) Endure change (delayed obedience deforms your destiny). 3) Embrace the unknown (roads are sometimes slippery). 4) Explore options (stops are yours to choose). 5) Expect the pay-off (the weather is sometimes stormy, but you keep going forward). Your extravagant, miracle-working Heavenly Father wants to bless you with custom-made, Divinely-designed blessings.
