Peter clearly states, "There will be false teachers." Jesus Christ, Paul, and Peter - all warn of the danger. False teachers operate secretly and destructively. To remain strong, spend time with Jesus and take God's Word seriously.

David's experience in the Valley of Rephaim reminds us - Opposition Follows Advancement. Like the Philistines, our enemy hopes to separate us from the resources needed to sustain victory's reward. Attacks RISE after success, honor, or promotion. Attacks REVEAL what is inside of a person. Attacks REQUIRE personal effort. Be prepared for a counterattack after a great spiritual victory.

Peter experienced the majestic wonder of Christ's transfiguration, but in his letter (2 Peter 1:19-21) Peter wants us to realize that Scripture is more reliable than an eyewitness.
