Before Pastor Justin ever took the pulpit for our morning service, a sweet, sweet spirit swept through out church and a flame of revival began to spark. Bro. Justin, following the direction of the Holy Spirit, challenged us to examine our hearts and prepare ourselves for a revival spirit to take hold at Valley View. Here are his words, as well as a song by Bro. Mike and Kaylee Meade.

Ruth was considered a dog to the Jewish people because of her heritage. She wasn't Jewish, but was a Moabite. But she married into a Jewish family, and was therefore welcomed into the Jewish commonwealth and because part of the family of God.

God had made a covenant through Abraham that extended to all of the Jewish people. He blessed them as a people, and He blessed them with a place.

With Christ, the covenant was expanded and God allowed anyone to be welcomed into the family and fall under the promises of God. And we're the same as Ruth. We're dogs, unclean, and unworthy. We are outside the covenant of Grace and we didn't have a redeemer.

But praise God that we can be welcomed into the family of God through Jesus Christ!

God has placed a desire on Pastor Justin's heart to see our church on fire for God in the midst of a great revival. While this is not being labeled as a "series," over the next several weeks and upcoming months there will be an emphasis on revival as we prepare ourselves for what God has in store.

Many may have their doubts about a great revival springing forth in the Godless atmosphere of our country right now. But all around us, in neighboring cities and states, you can find churches in the midst of weeks-long revivals. One, new Savannah, GA, has been going on for almost a month! They've outgrown the church (which was holding almost 800 people EVERY NIGHT) and have erected a 3,000 person tent! People are being saved by the dozens every night. So why not Knoxville? Why not Valley View?

Ruth and Naomi decide to return home. When they get back to Bethlehem, they are swarmed with people amazed to see them. They had returned home, right back to where God wanted them. In essence, they had returned back to the center of God's Will. Things are about to happen, and God is about to bless, in ways that never would have been possible had they not been in the middle of God's Will.

Are you struggling with finding God's Will in your life? Perhaps you know what God's Will is, but you are afraid to give in and follow it. Just like with Ruth and Naomi, when you are living in God's Will, He will always make a way for you! Where God guides, He will provide!

Finding God's Will for your life is not easy. But we often find that actually following God's Will is harder because of fear. There's fear of failure, fear of inability, fear of making the wrong decision, fear of coming up short. In essence, we do not trust God to take care of us once we follow His Will for our life!
