If you've been with us for any amount of time, then you know that we at Valley View are praying for real revival to take hold of our church and our membership. We are praying that God would make His presence felt in a might, might way and that the fire of revival would spark, and be fanned, until it grows into a great movement.

Elijah once faced a challenge where God was being put on trail, a challenge between Elijah and God and the false prophets of Baal. Elijah poured out his heart, and called down fire from Heaven. The fire fell, and everyone who saw it, or later heard of it, knew that the God of Heaven was the one true God. It proved His deity, was a sign of His approval, and a very real reminder of His presence.

Are you praying for the fire to fall in your own life? Do you want Him to ignite a fire in you and your family? Call out to Him and let the fire fall!

There was a sweet, sweet spirit at Valley View tonight. If you missed church, you missed a real blessing!

Tonight we did something different, and very special, at Valley View. Before he ever began his message, Pastor Justin had all parents with children under 18 move to the front of the church, as this message was directed right at them.

Every parent has responsibilities to their children. We have responsibilities to keep the same, to provide for them, to teach them. But tonight we talked about generational faith and how we have a responsibility to hide our children from the Devil, to protect them from him, and encourage them to follow the Lord.

Our children are in a daily struggle, being pulled by the Devil and the world, but also being pulled by the Lord and His plans for them. If we do not hide our children and protect them, they can become robbed of their potential by the Devil. We must build a wall around them and hide the next generation!

As we wrap up our series on the book of Ruth, this morning we turn our attention to the redemption of Ruth by Boaz.

At that time, the law of the land stated that the closest living relative had the legal right to purchase back, or redeem, both the land of a dead relative, and marry that man's wife. Boaz has fallen for Ruth. He probably doesn't really care about the land, but he loves Ruth. But there's a problem; Boaz isn't the closest living relative. There's another kinsman with the legal right to claim both the land, and take Ruth as his wife.

But just like Adam wasn't able to redeem mankind, this nearer kinsman wasn't able to redeem Ruth. But praise God that Boaz, a typography of Christ, was both willing, and able, to redeem her! She has gone from working in the field, to an owner and heir of the field!

What is real, genuine revival? And why do we need it? I mean, we come to church, we sings the hymns, we listen to the preacher. So why do we even need a revival.

We need revival because our spiritual lives, and the spiritual life of our country depends on it!

Join us as we seek God and beg Him to send revival to our souls, our family, our city, our state, and our country!
