Jesus shows us how to resist temptation by letting God be the foundation of defense against temptation, the temptation in the wilderness also shows us that Jesus is the solution to sin.

Today I want to ask you to put aside your greeting card memories of the wisemen in the Christmas story and hear in their story that in Jesus kingdom there is a place for everyone, even the most unlikely of people, the wisemen teach us a lesson in worship, that is - dangerous, sacrificial and regal. We need to learn to worship like these wisemen.

Healthy growth in your life depends on you tenaciously hanging on to God’s Word.

Jesus was born in a manger out of love for you, the question is how will you respond to Jesus.

Joy is for you, Joy is far richer and deeper than any of us know, it is both the gift of God and cultivated by our response our to God and so you and I are invited this advent season to step into the Joy of the Lord.

The good news is that Jesus is King, a perfect king in a world of conflict and strife, Jesus offers real salvation that opens eternity but he also provides wholeness for right now, in other words peace. You and I can learn a lot from John the Baptist’s call and Israel’s response, They react to God and Jesus by returning, repenting, recommitting to the gospel call.

Advent is about expectation: You can be filled with the hope of Jesus.

You will only find satisfaction and truth, when you are able to answer the question yourself, who is king Jesus? Jesus is King, Jesus is my king.

Trust that Jesus is good and knows what he is doing when he entrusts you with the treasure of his kingdom, if you will believe this it will make all the difference in your life.

Discipleship requires preparation that leads to readiness to encounter Christ and anticipation of celebrating his arrival.
