Wake up real estate agents!
There's a better way.
That's literally what's going through my head after being a part of a mastermind group. The topic: Where is the market going for real estate agents?
How are ibuyers coming into the mix?
How is Black Rock and Open Door coming into the mix?
How is the real estate environment changing as a whole with Zillow?
I can tell you this, real estate agents are getting nervous.
I'm not getting nervous because I don't look at myself as a real estate agent. That's not my gig. I'm a Value Driven Investor.
I'm a real estate investor that has a real estate license.
Now, for my past clients, I would love to keep working with you, help you sell your house, buy a house, or buy investment property. That's not the point of this Insight.
The point of this Insight is for all my fellow licensed real estate agents that are out there trying to do what you do best right now, which is service homeowners who want to sell their property or service buyers who want to buy a property.
I know you're sweating. People are getting nervous and they have every right to get nervous because our industry truly is changing. And that's all the more reason why the Value Driven Investor is positioned for you.
There's a different way. There's a better way to do it.
Being a Value Driven Investor means building a business, a business that allows you to find an asset, improve and increase the value of that asset, and then sell it for a profit, or hold onto it and cashflow.
That's what the Value Driven Investor community is going to be all about. A better way.
And that's why I had to get on today for this VDI Insight, because what do I think? I believe that real estate agents need to make a stand.
I think anybody with a real estate license needs to make a stand and say, why do we have to give our industry over to the big conglomerates? The tech company, the Black Rock.
Yeah, right now, today they're only taking up a small percentage, but that's today.
They said the same thing about Amazon when they were only selling books on Google. They said the same thing about Zillow when Zillow was just getting started as some rinky-dink website.
These companies have the same plan.
So where does that leave us?
Just like in the crypto industry, there's a revolution. I'm invested in crypto. I'm a big believer in crypto currency. I believe it is the people's money.
Well, I don't think real estate's that much different because real estate agents set out to take care of the people. Then came Zillow, Open Door, iBuyer, and all of this technology. It's all slowly chipping away at removing the real estate agent from the equation.
So what's left. Where do you go? What do you do?
Well, the one thing that I'm a big believer in is that the real estate agent will always have an upper hand when it comes to the war between the real estate agent and technology.
When it comes to understanding real estate transactions, advising their clients, adding profit to the bottom line for their clients and really trying to take care of their people, a good real estate agent wins every time.
I don't believe that the big conglomerates should take over. I don't believe that it's best for the consumer. Sure. It might be easiest. Might be frictionless, might cost money, but is it going to truly be best for you? The person who owns a home and wants to sell for you, the person who is renting and wants to buy a house, I just don't know, but we'll see.
It's going to play out either way. What's the point? How does the Value Driven Investor fit into that?
We're sitting here preaching that you should get your real estate license, but yet in the same breath I'm telling you that the real estate industry is changing. There's a civil war. There's a paradigm shift happening.
Well then why should I get my license?
Because if you're a licensed agent and you're doing your own transaction as a real estate investor, that's completely different than if you're a licensed agent and you're doing transactions for someone else. Why?
As a Value Driven Investor, a licensed agent doing transactions for yourself, you can create a life on your terms. Otherwise you're working for someone else. That's why you should get your real estate license. That's why you should start investing in real estate for yourself.
That's why you should join us in the Value Driven Investor community.
Because together we can fight back.
We can make a stand.
We can still can help people create value in their home and sell it for top dollar.
We can still help the people.
We know the relationships that we care about are a frictionless transaction. If they want to sell the house to us as is, we'll buy it. If they want us to help them fix the property up and reap maximum value on their property, then we'll help them do that.
If they already have a fantastic property and they just want to sell it and they want it done as easy and as quickly as possible, we can do that because as real estate agents, as people that live in our communities who care about our communities, we always have the upper hand when it comes to the conglomerate.
We have the upper hand because we always have the relationship and inside the relationship is trust. That trust is what people want to invest in. That trust is what people want to believe in. I truly believe that we have to unite together because if we stay separated, the conglomerate is going to win. But if we unite together and we fight back, I I really believe we have a shot to change an industry, to make it better, to deliver the frictionless transaction that the customer wants and that the conglomerates promising.
I'm super passionate about this. I can see it. I can feel it. Change is upon us. The question is, is as a real estate agent, what do we do about it?
Me, personally, the Value Driven Investor, the Value Driven Investor podcast, and a whole new way of looking at being a real estate agent. That's what we do about it.
