By now, we all know that too much stress is bad for you, but many people fail to determine when that point is reached. The fact is, the body is capable of handling stress- but just to an extent. After that, signs become highly visible that something is going terribly wrong, and sadly, doctors often misdiagnose the root cause. Stress is something that affects the lives of many people. A lot of the time, stress comes from work, family and arguments. Since most people over the age of 50 have a job and more responsibilities, stress can affect their health in a negative way. It might be hard to tell if someone you know is under stress.

If you think that all that there is to health is sleep, exercise, and diet, you're off to a good start but you still may be neglecting other important factors of your overall wellbeing. Your overall health is composed of several areas of wellness, including emotional wellness. But what constitutes emotional wellness? These five aspects of emotional wellness have been identified to help with different aspects of life. Many of us don’t take the time to consider emotional health when making important decisions. We think about our financial future, the new job and all of the possibilities that could open up for us. Career changes can be exciting but sometimes we need to pause, analyze why we are making a change and make sure we’ve considered everything that is involved with changing careers from a financial, emotional and social perspective.

Making a career change can feel like you are out at sea on a boat that doesn’t know its destination. You think it’s going in one direction, but the wind is shifting direction. The potential benefits of making a career change depend on why you are changing your career. If you are changing careers to escape a bad situation or for more money, the results will be limited. But, if you make a career change in order to improve your life, the benefits will be much more wide-ranging and significantly increase your happiness. It improves personal development in key areas of life.

The number one reason why most people are not happy at their jobs is that they made the mistake of failing to link their life purpose to their career choice when choosing a profession. You may have taken up the job offer because you are well paid or because you wanted something to help put food on the table, pay the bills, or send the kids to school. While there is nothing wrong with being concerned about any of those things or accepting a job offer as a way of addressing such concerns, you have to consider your calling or life purpose when choosing a career, if you are to remain happy in life or if you are to live a satisfying life.

Continuing with your goals after experiencing drastic failures is not easy and it may seem impossible. Nonetheless, there are quite a few things you can do to ensure you keep working on turning your dreams into reality no matter how many times you fail. If you master these things that have the power to help you remain motivated to continue reaching for your dreams you will be unstoppable. No form of failure can get in the way of succeeding in anything you do.

We all go through tough situations where things seem not to work regardless of our invested efforts. We then wonder if the goal is worth all the trouble. Where we think it is indeed worth it, we ask ourselves whether we will succeed amid all obstacles. It is human nature to worry when things do not go as planned and, it is good to do evaluations and make adjustments where strategies are not yielding the expected results. Sometimes our fails are so big, discouraging, and embarrassing or, we doubt ourselves so much such that we are tempted to take the easiest way out of our discomfort, giving up. Many of us have been there and have probably given in to the temptation at some point. The question is, are you aware of how much is at stake as you give in to the urge to quit? 

Your existence here on earth is not a mistake, you were born for a purpose. “Pursuing your purpose” is not something that is farfetched and beyond reach but a mission that can be fulfilled. It’s actually an instrument for a better, joyous, and exciting life that too few people attempt to use. Tracking down your purpose can be a lifelong journey, and it can only be done one step at a time. So it is not surprising that some people take time to find or discover their purpose in life.

Finding your life’s purpose is not simple. It takes a lot of work to discover what you are passionate about and to use it to make a difference in other people’s lives. The journey of finding your purpose is personal, but what you do after that is never really about you. It is about what you can do for others with your hidden talents. We see people we can easily relate to because they have similar backgrounds to ours. Most of them were ordinary, some of them as awkward as us.  It will take a lot more to identify your own gifts and talents. 

Many people spend half their lives worrying about whether or not they are living the life they were born to live. They worry about the reason for their existence to the point of failing to begin working on finding out why they exist. You may be going through the same predicament. You may be bothered by the fact that you do not know why you exist or what you should be doing to ensure that every day you get closer and closer to fulfilling your destiny. The bad thing about not knowing why you exist is that you will end up living aimlessly and drifting further and further away from your purpose. Your life is not complete if you don't fulfill your destiny. This is why there are so many of us who are still searching for what we are meant to do. After all, life is short and time is limited. That is why, before anything else, answering the why part of the equation is important.

The purpose is defined as a reason for existence, and goals are results that one is attempting to achieve. Our goals can be based on our purpose or other aspirations or mere interests. They (goals) are the vehicle through which we get to live and fulfill our purpose. When we set goals, it is because we have something that we believe we need to accomplish in life, and goals are the steps we take in that direction. They are targets we set for ourselves, which can be a reflection of our purpose in themselves or can be a result of what we believe we live for. Through them, we implement beliefs and ideas. We seek to reach these goals through action plans guided by who we are or want to be.
