The VanSlam is back for Episode 20 to chat things all #NBA and of course everything else we can think of. We look at the Raptors 2 game slid and why Dwyane Casey always seems to have their number with the Detriot Pistons. The 76ers are on a roll and Tyrese Maxey and Mattias Thybulle starting to come into their own and compliment the MVP season that Joel Embiid is having. We look at the latest in the Ben Simmonds saga, as it has been almost a month since we touched on that tire fire, and if there will be any takers for the February 10th trade deadline.

Then we look at the #NBAAllStar voting and complain about why Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson are in the mix despite limited games and why players like Fred VanVleet are more recognized. We finish off with why Ja Morant has been so amazing and how we long for the Grizzlies to be back in Vancouver.

January 09, 2022 Episode 19 - The Truth
The VanSlam, Vancouver's only #NBA POdcast to our knowledge, is back after the holiday break to get you caught up on all things Basketball. Joshua, Sean, and Bowman chat about the latest winning streaks for the Philadelphia #76ers and #WeTheNorth as both teams climb up the Eastern Conference Standings. Fred VanVleet and Joel Embiid lead their respective teams and are both playing at All-Star form.
We continue looking at the East with Kyrie Irving returning for the Brooklyn Nets and Demar DeRozan leading a surprising Chicago Bulls team to a 26-10 record. Also whatever happened to Lavar Ball?

Then we set our sights on the west with a Jersey Retirement for Dirk Nowitzki from the Dallas Mavericks and a horrible trophy to go along with it. Before finishing off things with the LA Lakers, Klay Thompson's return (eventually), Why Zion Williamson will one day be a New York Knick and much more!

December 18, 2021 Episode 18 - The Note
The VanSlam is back after a brief hiatus as Vancouver's only #NBA Podcast, to our knowledge, gets you caught up with everything around the league. Joshua and Bowman chat about Stephen Curry breaking Ray Allens all-time 3 point record against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Is Curry the greatest 3 point shooter of all time? We talk about the latest news from the Brooklyn Nets who will let Kyrie Irving return playing in away games (That didn't last long as he went into Covid Protocol shortly after recording.) and KD making it 8 players (Uh 9) players in Protocol for the Nets.

Bowman gives us a Ben Simmons update and we look at some of the possible moves that the Philadelphia 76ers could make. Also, I ask Why does Isiah Joe play? Then we look at what's been trouble the Toronto Raptors, I had trouble finding the word but my co-host was quick with "Identity". Then we go around the League and check in on the old folks' home that is the LA Lakers and Isiah Thomas. Why no one seems to remember the Milwaukee Bucks won the NBA Championship last season and more.

November 21, 2021 Episode 17 - The Busboy
The VanSlam is back after a week off. Vancouver's only #NBA podcast (to our knowledge) get's you caught up with everything around the National Basketball League. The Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers stopped their losing streaks. The Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls jumped to the top of the Eastern Conference. While the Hornets jerseys stupid green strip continues to bother everyone.
In the west, the Golden State Warriors continue to roll despite not having any of their top players. The Pheonix Suns have gone on an 11 game winning streak and made everyone forget they have off-court issues. And the LA Lakers are finally healthy. We also go over the bottom of the Western Conference and talk about what the Houston Rockets and New Orleans Cassowary will do.
