This week we are wrapping up our summer series, Face to Face: Encounters with Jesus, with a familiar story. Due to the choices he made, Zacchaeus was a man who no one liked. He was wealthy, but became wealthy by exploiting his own people. No wonder nobody liked him! But for some reason he made a choice to seek out Jesus and this encounter changed Zacchaeus' life, not just in the here and now but for eternity! 

What does it look like to be changed by really understanding how God sees us? This week in John 9:5-12 we will see the blind man not just receive physical sight, but spiritual sight as well. I want to live seeing the world, others, and most importantly myself the way God sees me! Believing that God sees me and loves me will change me. That is what spiritual sight is all about!

After recounting the last 2 months of his sabbatical, Jimmy reads through John 9:1-7 and how this relates to our everyday life. While we may not be physically blind, we can be blinded to so many things that the Lord is doing and wanting us to see through His eyes. We will continue the rest of this chapter next week!

Here we find the certainty of God’s comfort and hope for us revealed in Jesus. Lyle Watson takes us through the account of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead in John 11:1-44.

Every day is filled with instances where we exercise our God-given ability to compare, contrast, and discern differences. But sometimes this ability to discern differences can lead us down a road of self-righteousness and pride.  This same ability can lead us down a road to feelings of insecurity. Lord help us! We'll take a walk down memory lane in Luke 24:13-35 and discover that none of these events happening today are unknown to God, just as the things that happened to Jesus were no surprise either.  His word will remind us that these things were pre-written, and should be expected. Watch how Jesus blows their minds, and stirs their hearts to be energized once again.

This week Jim O'Connor shares the message! Disappointments in life can discourage us from entering into the fullness of our relationship with Jesus. As we look at John 21:1-22 this week, we'll see Jesus refocus Peter through a carefully planned re-encounter designed to stir up first-love emotion, while preparing him for a mental career change.
