  • Notable Lives from History
Marilyn Boyer is a descendant of a Revolutionary War soldier and daughter of a World War II veteran. She is deeply patriotic and passionate about America's Christian history. As the wife of an Air Force veteran, mother and home educator of fourteen children and grandmother of twenty-eight, Marilyn's dedication to family and country is unparalleled. As an author, her latest series, What a Character: Notable Lives from History, captures the remarkable stories of historical figures who shaped our nation. In the early 1980s, Marilyn and her husband were pioneers of the modern home education movement. Together, they founded The Learning Parent ministry and Character Concepts, authored dozens of books, and traveled extensively to speak at home-school and Christian parenting conferences. Sadly, millions of children have grown up learning a revisionist version of history. In some cases it has resulted in young people developing animosity toward the United States, its founders and our system of government. They simply never learned to appreciate the many individuals that sacrificed so much so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have. Is there a way we can recapture that which has been lost by our education system? Should we just 'cut our losses' and forget about the millions among our youth that have been misguided concerning our history or can we reach this current generation with historical truth that supports a biblical worldview? This is where Marilyn comes in. She joined Jim as she relayed examples from her book series: What a Character: Notable Lives from History.

  • 500 Days Since Israel was Attacked
Pastor Jim Scudder, Jr. is senior pastor of Quentin Road Baptist Church in Lake Zurich, Illinois. He is an author and also is the speaker on the program In Grace which airs on WVCY Television and VCY.tv and on the VCY America Radio Network and on other facilities across the country. Pastor Scudder has a passion for souls and a desire to teach others about our Savior's love. He also has a special love for the nation of Israel and the Jewish people. Much attention continues to be focused on Israel, especially given their war with Hamas and the end-times ramifications that involve this area of the world. This means there is much news to report and questions to be answered. Pastor Scudder presented an update, allowing listeners to get the latest information so they can view what's taking place there from a Christian perspective. Some of the questions that were answered included: What phase is the hostage process in and how many more living hostages need to be released? Who will rule in Gaza after the war? Was Trump being literal or inspirational with his comments concerning a U.S. takeover of Gaza? How is Israel reacting to the Trump presidency? What's happening along the Lebanon border? Could the next attack on Israel come from Judea & Samaria (the West Bank)? Listeners wrapped up the broadcast with their questions and comments as well.

  • Purging the Military of Wokeness
On January 25th, Pete Hegseth was sworn in as the 29th Secretary of Defense. He promised to eradicate wokeness from the military and has as his mission to revive the warrior ethos and restore trust in the military and to rebuild it by matching threats to capabilities and reestablish deterrence by defending the homeland. Returning to Crosstalk to discuss this issue was Elaine Donnelly. Elaine is president of the Center for Military Readiness, an independent, nonpartisan public policy organization that reports on and analyzes military/social issues. Since its founding in 1993, CMR has advocated for high, uncompromised standards in all forms of military training and sound priorities in the making of military/social policies. Elaine began by noting that the Biden administration made it clear from day one that they were going to pursue a very liberal social agenda/experiment in the military. They would take the transgender agenda to extremes that weren't even seen under President Obama. This brought the word "woke" to our vocabularies. She defined this as taking progressivism to extremes and posing it with coercion, even if it hurts the institution. Elaine brought her opinions concerning the Pete Hegseth confirmation hearings, how he's been doing on the job thus far, military readiness (including women in the military), Christian and pro-life groups targeted by the Army, access to the military by those with gender dysphoria, and much more including calls from listeners.

  • Health & Privacy Concerns
Twila Brase is President and Co-founder of Citizens' Council for Health Freedom, a national patient-centered, privacy-focused, free-market policy organization to support health care choices, individualized patient care and medical and genetic privacy. Twila is a certified public health nurse and author of the eight-time award-winning book, Big Brother in the Exam Room: The Dangerous Truth About Electronic Health Records. She is the speaker on the daily Health Freedom Minute heard on stations across the nation. We are only 3.5 weeks into the Trump Administration. Issues, matters and actions are moving so very quickly where each day's news is equivalent to multiple weeks' worth of news just a month ago. The curtains are being pulled back exposing more and more corruption. One of the areas we've been monitoring is health and privacy issues. For instance, our country was on a fast track to come to an agreement on a pandemic treaty. However the Trump Administration is pulling us out of the World Health Organization. The HHS has been subpoenaed for records on Covid-19 Vaccine Safety and records with Dr. Fauci's communications. Just hours ago, the U.S. Senate made a procedural vote to advance the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., to lead the Dept. of Health and Human Services. The final vote is to take place tomorrow (Thursday). Yet, amidst all of this, there are continued concerns about individual privacy, REAL ID, and the push toward a social credit system.

  • Capitol Prayer Breakfast Under Attack
William J. Federer is a nationally known speaker, historian, author, and president of Amerisearch, Inc. He's the speaker on The American Minute daily broadcast. He has authored numerous books including, America's God and Country Encyclopedia of Quotations, Who is the King in America?, Socialism: The Real History From Plato to the Present - How the Deep State Capitalizes on Crises to Consolidate Control and the newly released, Silence Equals Consent: The Sin of Omission. Last Thursday, February 6th, the National Prayer Breakfast took place at the nation's Capitol. Participants included the Naval Academy Glee Club, the Naval Academy Midshipmen, the Marine Corps Band and various members of Congress. Several participants led in prayer, and of course, President Trump was in attendance. While the event was getting ready, Congressman Jerod Huffman of California was across the street, making his way to the Capitol, not to participate, but to protest as he accused Speaker Mike Johnson of violating the so-called separation of church and state. Jim presented audio from Congressman Huffman and then gave William Federer an opportunity to take listeners through a timeline from American history. Review this edition of Crosstalk and decide for yourself if Congressman Huffman is displaying, as Federer noted, "...either complete ignorance of our history or it's projection where they blame you for what they're doing." Listeners from around the nation weighed in on this topic as well.

  • AI: Stargate Initiative, DeepSeek…Where is this Headed?
Dr. Richard Schmidt is pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church and founder of Prophecy Focus Ministries. He is the speaker on the weekly TV program, Prophecy Focus and the radio broadcast, Prophecy Unfolding. He spent 32 years in law enforcement until his retirement. He has authored several books including: Are You Going to a Better Place and Artificial Intelligence: Transhumanism. As you'll discover on this broadcast, the development and proliferation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is moving at breakneck speed. Now President Trump has announced the Stargate Initiative while China has released the AI app called DeepSeek. DeepSeek has been downloaded by millions despite concerns that information it collects is going back to China. President Trump's Stargate Initiative is said to be the largest AI infrastructure project in history costing 500 billion dollars. Larry Ellison, co-founder and executive chairman of Oracle, has indicated that the 20 massive data banks that will be part of the project will deal with some positive outcomes including curing cancer and other diseases. What's of concern is all of the data that will be put into the system. Dr. Schmidt noted that Ellison wants to get everyone's medical or financial information and let computers do what doctors and economists used to do. Is this setting the stage for the infrastructure that the Antichrist will use during the tribulation period? Should we be concerned that while there will be some positive outcomes from this that President Trump may not completely understand where all this is headed? Discover the answers when you review this edition of Crosstalk.
