This year has been tough (these last 2years) with the pandemic and so many of us can’t even really afford to buy our loved ones the things we would want and so it’s with this in mind that I want to tell you that the real gift is love this Christmas…
A lot of us are broken, drained, stressed, tired, lonely, sad and it would mean so much to us to just have the gift of love..just to have someone tell you “ I love you” or just to have someone invite you over for a meal or just a visitor bearing something from their fruit tree.. a call from that friend or loved one you haven’t heard from in a while.. a surprise visit from that special someone would make your heart smile. A kind word from a total stranger..
So the question is “what do you do when the honeymoon phase is over”
According to Google “Every day the honeymoon phase wears off, you make both deposits and withdrawals in your emotional bank accounts. The frantic limerence has calmed down. You’ve acquired the ability to disappoint as well as delight each other. In other words, your relationship is getting real in every sense”
Hello!
Welcome back to my podcast!
When I started my podcast we were right in the middle of a global pandemic and to date we are still going through it.
I’ve never spoken on it though and for no particular reason.
I traveled recently though and the traveling experience will certainly heighten your awareness and consciousness about the time we are living in.
Preparing to travel is no longer limited to packing and buying foreign currency.. now you have to ensure your tested negative for the virus and in some cases you may even be required to be vaccinated. Of course you also have to mask up and keep safety distance. Upon returning home to jamaica- we are required to get another negative test and also acquire travel authorization. And once you arrive you have to quarantine for a period.
Now my time of quarantine was particularly difficult because I don’t like being alone- don’t ask me what that’s about I’ve just never had to and quite prefer it that way.
Anyway ..
during this time of quarantining I started thinking about persons who would’ve actually caught the virus and had to be isolated how lonely and sad that must’ve been.
