After experiencing a burnout from work in Seoul, she started pursuing a vegan lifestyle at the recommendation of a friend. While taking a break in Jeju, a place she always loved, she tried making vegan butter and loved it. As more and more friends enjoyed the vegan butter she made, they encouraged her to open a store. In June 2020, she opened a vegan butter shop called “Moonsa Oil Shop” in a peaceful rural village in Aewol. The shop operates as a factory producing vegan butter for half of the week and a space for sales and tasting for the other half.
