Today we are talking about the things I have done to change my life and build me into a more confident and happy person. I have always had ups and downs in my life as we all do, but recently I decided it was really time to take charge of my life. In this episode we will discuss the things i have done and what I feel has been helpful. I hope maybe it can help someone and resonate.

Today we are talking about fake meats. There’s a lot of controversy surrounding fake meats. What should they be called? Why do vegans even want to eat them? And as we approach BBQ and grilling season I think it is a topic of convo that tends to come up a lot. So hear my perspective as a vegan who enjoys and regularly eats mock meats and vegan meat substitutes. As always I do no condone food shaming in any shape or form, eat vegan food how you like and just remember we are all in the same fight together.

Today we are talking about food photography and I am sharing what I do when I photograph food. Please remember photography is extremely subjective but there are of course basics we should all know like how to keep your image straight, no tilts, and create a clear image. So, feel free to take what I say with a grain of salt but I hope this helps and you can learn something from it.

If you don't already own a copy I will leave a link here to get one. We are going to talk about what it was like creating a cookbook, how did I find a publisher, what was the process and writing it during quarantine and the pandemic.

I think one of the most asked questions I get is why: why are you a vegan? Today we are going to explore my vegan story, why am I a vegan and more of my feelings and thoughts on veganism. I think this is a question almost every vegan gets asked and it is an important one to reflect on. Don’t get angry when people ask “why are you a vegan” be happy that they are showing some level of curiosity and interest, unless they’re being rude about it. I think everyone has a little vegan story as to what made them interested in veganism and why they started.

Today I am talking to you about a topic I am very passionate about and that is food shaming within the vegan community. I find far too often everyone is too quick to critique and judge vegans but we get it even worse from other vegans. I feel this topic is important to talk about and why it may be detrimental to the spreading of veganism. It is something I have experienced as an online content creator and food blogger. I think this is something that needs to be identified as a problem and something that is important to discuss. No matter what type of vegan diet you decide to eat, no one has the right to shame you on your choices. Welcome to Vegan Thoughts! This is the first episode and today we are going to talk a bit about how I became a food blogger and what sparked this career move. I will talk about how I went from being an opera singer to a food blogger and how rejection was one of the best things that ever happened to me. Life doesn't always work out the way we think it will, want it to or hope but that's okay because sometimes there is something so much bigger waiting for us on the other end. Thank you so much for listening. If you enjoyed today's episode please make sure to leave a review to help the podcast out!
