Jay and Alana discovered a great speech by Ed Winters a.k.a Earthling Ed who had a great talk on the arguments against veganism at Bath University in March. Hear what the vegan activist has to say. Plastics are everywhere and after researching the ill effects on our environment, Jay and Alana have a few ideas on what you can do to minimize or eliminate the use of plastics.
This week Jay and Alana start the show with a run down of what happened at this years VegFest in Novi Michigan a show brought to you by VegMichiigan. Over 95% percent of farm animals are raised in factory farms and more than 150 billion animals are killed each year for food. 94% of Americans agree that animals raised for food deserve to live free from abuse and cruelty. Yet the majority of the nearly 10 billion farm animals raised each year in the U.S. suffer in conditions that consumers would not accept if they could see them. Michele Merkel from Food & Water Watch discusses what we can do from a legal standpoint to change the narrative of factory farming and its abuses.
