Karla Durey shares a testimony regarding ministering to children through our Sunday evening missions emphasis and puppet ministry. Then, Pastor Timothy continues the series ” Unity within the Universal Church” and shows the importance of not trusting everything said by past saints and not “Throwing the baby out with the bath water” either.

Pastor Timothy continues in Romans 7:13-25  and shows that only God through Jesus, not the Law, can justify, sanctify, and glorify people.

1. The law cannot save anyone. Why? Our sin. Our flesh.

2. Only God through Jesus can save us.

God has secured our justification. He has promised our sanctification. He has guaranteed our glorification! Who will deliver us from this body of death? God, through Jesus, not the Law. Look to Him!

Pastor Timothy discusses how God calls us to communicate with fellow Christians in the Universal Church.

Pastor Timothy gives six reasons on why he believes Romans 7: 13-25 describes Paul’s experience as a christian.

Pastor Timothy continues the series on UNITY and shows that we should be quick to pursue peace (reconciliation), asks “When do we separate”? Shows God’s design for unity. That we should be eager to maintain unity. Lack of eagerness for unity is sin. The “Issue” isn’t the issue, our heart is.

Using Romans 7:7-12, Pastor Timothy shows the purposes of the Law.

Scripture Text: Philippians 3:1-16

How ought we as Christians respond when we come to differences of opinion with one another? How has Christ called us to live in unity with the brethren at church, at home, and on social media? This message addresses Paul in Philippians and his exhortation to the Philippian church to stand firm in the Gospel of Jesus Christ against those who would wish to change it, and unify with those who embrace it. If we unify around the Gospel, then we are “keeping the main thing about the main thing” and all other differences we may have with other believers will fall into place in time.

Pastor Timothy takes us through Romans 7:1-6

Is sin tolerable in the Christian life because we’re not under the Law but under grace?

How can sin be tolerable if God doesn’t tolerate sin in his people?

Death changes relationships. Paul uses the example of a woman whose husband dies – she is released from that marriage and is able to marry again. In the same way, believers spiritually die and are released from the ‘marriage’ to sin, and are able to be lawfully ‘married’ to Christ.

Pastor Timothy makes the statement that- Your master determines your actions and destiny.

Then asks these questions. 1.Who’s your master: sin or God? 2. Has God freed you to be a slave of righteousness? (God gives heart obedience, God alone rescues people from sin’s bondage) 3. Are you becoming what you are?
