Last chat with Merridith for the year and she let us know about  a outdoor Christmas movie screening of the Grinch coming on up and also some things to be looking forward to next year with community groups and Australia Day celebrations.

Last chat with Quinny for the year :) He puts out a big congratulations to year 12 students who are now recieveing their results and also has a little bit of a comment to make on education cuts in our region as well. Looking forward to having the 'World According To" back on again for next year.

James filled us in on a great backyard concert he held over the weekend featuring Phillip Walley-Stack, he also let us know about tomorrows Disco for the kids with Avon Youth.

Dayna let us know this morning about what the go is with school ovals and sporting grounds over the holidays and kids wanting to play there. She also informed us of some new training the officers have received here in town.

Volunteering is the backbone of our small communities throughout the Central Wheatbelt and Avon Valley and tomorrow, Tanya let us in this morning about a great information session that's going to be hosted at the Northam Rec Centre tomorrow for those interested in getting more involved and able to lend a hand.

Had a really beneficial chat with Ivo this morning from Consumer protection regarding credit card surcharges, with some stores actually charging rates that shouldn't be the case and letting us know that we can ask the question, have a listen on in for more.

Nadine Hayes from the Shire of Chittering let us in on all the details of the upcoming Christmas parties as well the Shop Local Buy Local prizes that are up for grabs.

Joel provides a great recap of day 1 of the third Ashes Test series at the WACA and we have a chat about how its looking going into day 2 as well as bit of a mention of the match fixing report that came out the other day. 

Was really great to have the first of many chat this morning with the Wheatbelt St John Ambulance team based in Northam. Abby this morning spoke to us about the new depot and what a great facility it is and also about the first aid courses that are available.
