Pastor Phil walks us through the story of Saul becoming Paul. God called out to Saul when he was still persecuting Christians. He wanted to save him and use him. Saul's name became Paul, and he went on to write much of the Bible, "forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead." God uses the most unlikely of people, but we can't be most effective if we are stuck in the shame of our past. Pastor Phil walks us through the importance of freedom from our past and praying for our present.

This Sunday, Guest Speaker Bryon Ethington brought a good word on the importance of bringing the name of Jesus to the Jewish people in Israel. Jesus brings hope, light, and salvation, right? So let's make it our mission to share that Good news with everyone we can, including God's chosen people across the world who don't know the Jesus we know.

This week we discussed the 4 keys to maturity in relationships. Pastor Phil reminded us the importance of willingness to grow and offer grace, and he encouraged us to stay outward-focused. Let's always think about what shows the love of Jesus in out relationships and conversations, always seeking to grow and look more like Jesus!
