On this episode, Dylan once again goes deep into The Old Icebox for a special retro review of WWF King of the Ring 1998 in honor of the show's 25th Anniversary! Held in Pittsburgh, PA at the Civic Arena on June 28th, the show is most notable for the Hell in a Cell match that pitted The Undertaker against Mankind. That match would feature not only two of the biggest moments in WWF/WWE history but perhaps everywhere today: Mick Foley being thrown off the 15ft Cell, and then going through the Cell roof moments later.
While the Hell in a Cell match is the most oft-talked part from this show, there were other matches that need discussion. Also featured was the first-ever First Blood match, which saw Stone Cold Steve Austin defend his WWF Championship against Kane in the main event where the winner must make his opponent bleed. Elsewhere, there was also the namesake King of the Ring tournament, in which semi-finalists The Rock, Dan Severn, "Double J" Jeff Jarrett, and Ken Shamrock all competed for the crown.
