This episode begins a month-long series that'll recap all 31 NFL teams and their 2021 (except for the 49ers because we already did them). Dylan begins with six teams that finished at the absolute bottom of the pile. While most of these teams that'll be discussed had brutal dumpster-fire seasons, others understood their roles as rebuilders and ended up with at least some encouraging signs for next season. Either way, these are the stories that Dylan will recap in Part 1 of his 2021 NFL Season Recaps.

On this episode, Dylan recaps Super Bowl 56 between the hometown Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals. In the final 2 minutes of the game, Matthew Stafford found Cooper Kupp in the endzone to take a late lead before Aaron Donald and the relentless defense stopped Joe Burrow and the Bengals to secure Rams' 2nd Super Bowl title 23-20 in a crazy capper to the 2021 NFL Season.

On this episode, Dylan puts a wrap on the San Francisco 49ers' 2021 Season. 

Middling play from quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and the defensive secondary unit had the 49ers sitting at 3-5 by the halfway point of what seemed to be another lost season in Santa Clara. However, a Week 10 blowout win over the Rams began a 7-2 run for San Fran that ended with them securing the final NFC Playoff Spot at 10-7. Their improvement from their 2020 injury-riddled season became even larger with upsets over the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs to get as far as the NFC Championship Game. However, their surprise bid for a Super Bowl return would fall short in a heartbreaking loss to their division-rival LA Rams. 

Dylan recaps how the 49ers turned around their 2021 season and the highlights and standout players that came out of it. Plus, Dylan discusses what the 49ers must prioritize a very important offseason, including a probable trade of Jimmy Garoppolo.

Dylan recaps the 2021 AFC Championship Game between the #4-seeded Cincinnati Bengals and the #2-seeded Kansas City Chiefs. After being down 21-10 at halftime, the Cincinnati defense put Patrick Mahomes in check in the second half to allow their quarterback Joe Burrow and the offense to rally back to take a 24-21 lead late in the game. Despite a field goal that sent the game into overtime, Bengals safety Von Bell netted a key interception on Mahomes that would allow Cincinnati to march downfield to kick a Super Bowl-advancing field goal and win 27-24.

Dylan discusses how the Bengals crawled back into this game and what caused Kansas City to go ice cold after their red-hot first half. Plus, an early preview of Cincy's Super Bowl 56 vs the LA Rams and an offseason look for the Chiefs.

Dylan recaps the San Francisco 49ers' playoff matchup against the #4-seeded LA Rams in the NFC Championship Game. Despite forcing mistakes out of their opponent, the 49ers made mistakes of their own and eventually caved in the 4th quarter after being up 17-7 in the 3rd quarter as their crazy playoff run ended in a 20-17 loss. While the 49ers will now move towards an important offseason, the LA Rams will be the second-straight team in history to play the Super Bowl in its home stadium as it plays "host" to the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl 56.  

Dylan discusses what was yet another 4th quarter playoff implosion by San Francisco's defense, Kyle Shanahan, and Jimmy Garoppolo that led to their downfall. He discusses his final winners and losers of a 2021 49ers game, and gives some early offseason team needs for San Fran.

Dylan recaps the San Francisco 49ers' playoff matchup against the NFC's top-seed Green Bay Packers in the NFC Divisional Playoff game. Despite giving up an opening touchdown and the offense not able to do much of anything, the 49ers defense stood their ground against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense for much of the game. It took a special teams miracle for the offense to light themselves up and get Robbie Gould in position to kick an upset-winning field goal, as the 49ers beat the Packers 13-10.
