“Brother, Can You Spare That Jacket?” (3 December, 1988) The GGs win 10Gs on a scratcher! Sophia (Estelle Getty) gives a tattered jacket to charity not knowing the winning ticket is inside. A wild goose chase follows, the likes of which we’ve never seen. The jacket (and ticket) makes its way from an MJ concert to a charity auction and finally a homeless shelter where the girls are forced to make a tough decision. On this episode of A Very Special Podcast we sat idly by as the GGs decide to pickpocket the homeless, chat about splitting lottery winnings among friends and contemplate the sad reality of homelessness in America while delighting in tunes of the depression era - hilarity ensues.

Dinosaurs

“Dirty Dancin” (12 March, 1993) We watched an episode of this TGIF classic starring the cuddly/grotesque Sinclair family so you don’t have to. Robbie has an uncontrollable urge to do the mating dance in public. Since Earl is a neglectful father, mom Fran takes it upon herself to teach a course on mating at school. Weirdness abounds when Robbie is taken to a dancehall that is clearly a stand-in for a brothel. Where is a dinosaur’s erogenous zone? Is mating dance music audible to others? How can a T-Rex and an Allosaurus give birth to the abomination known as Baby Sinclair?
