Marcia has been on the credentials committee for the Academy of Veterinary Technicians in Anaesthesia and Analgesia, and is on the New Zealand Veterinary Nursing Executive Committee. She is also a RECOVER certified instructor of both basic and advanced CPR.

The following years, she worked for an ABVP avian boarded veterinarian as a technician and received her CVT in 2015. After 13 years as a veterinary technician working with exotic companion animals, she is now the supervisor for the exotics department at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital in New Jersey.
