We go over our thoughts on the new Castlevania inspired kickstarter campaign called Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night by Koji Igarashi. Also, we talk predictions about the new Nintendo World Championships 2015 competition and much, much more!
This is VGBS.
This is an early recording around the same time Episode 2 was recorded. We go over the response to the Episode 1 topic of the Angry Video Game Nerd from listeners. Also, during a time before we tackled Rondo of Blood, we go over Castlevania Hidden Games. Kyle also focuses on his trials and tribulations of 100%ing Grand Theft Auto Vice City. This is one of the rare times that we are all in the same room and madness ensues!
The bullshit homework this week is King’s Quest III and we not only give the DOS version a review, but also the PC Redux remake. We also go into many different news topics and talk about changes that are happening within the gaming industry.
This is VGBS.
Continuing after the last Episode, this Side Quest takes us on our continued journey into the world of Chrono Trigger. We also go off on tangents into some great stories.
Behold the elusive Episode 10! This week not only do have do a wrap-up of the Bullshit Homework game from the past two weeks, Castlevania Dracula X: Rondo of Blood for the PC Engine, but we also talk with the arcade legend himself, founder of Twin Galaxies, Walter Day! We go on a trip through memory lane with Walter and talk about why some games are still played to this day and what truly makes a game timeless. Welcome to the awesomeness that is VGBS…
While we wait for Episode 10 to get edited by the perfection-master Kylemeister, enjoy another side-quest episode… We go into some Chrono Trigger Stories, our impressions of Mortal Kombat X and much more!
Testing out our new recording setup created another great bonus episode. We talk about some games that we look forward to playing for BS homework and move into the Collector’s Mentality and why there is no video game bubble. Join us for the insanity that is VGBS…
Due to technical difficulties recording yesterday, the next new episode will be next week when we have the legendary Walter Day as our guest while we go over our BS homework Castlevania Dracula X Rondo of Blood.
For now, here is a bonus episode from when Rob Bryant from SlyDogStudios was with us. Hilarious times!
This week the boys talk about ToeJam & Earl for the Sega Genesis. This was recommended by our guest, Joe Granato, last week and we all played it pretty thoroughly throughout the week. We also talk about our Season 1 game Chrono Trigger as started that as well and it will become a weekly staple. The audio quality is off due to losing our other recordings and having to use the LiveStream audio file. Enjoy!
The side quests exist to avoid a 2-3 hour long main episode. This bonus we talk about the new NES demo from Sly Dog Studios called The Rise of Amondus. We also go into crazy depth about the PC Engine. One of the benefits of our bullshit homework is we get to delve into systems that have been collecting dust and the PC Engine is a shining gem of a system that is now a center piece of our game system setups!
