VGBS Gaming Podcast

Our Guest on the Podcast this week is Joe Granato who is developing the Video Game Mystic Searches for both the NES and current gen systems as well as a documentary called the New 8-Bit Heroes. We also go over the weekly bullshit homework assignment which is Final Zone II on the PC Engine CD.

The focus of Bonus #3 is our Extra Credit game, Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti only released in Japan on the Nintendo Famicom. Kyle was playing this little Namco(t) treat and Jeff decided to join him, with amazing results!

This week our homework was the infamous Adventures of Batman & Robin for the Sega Genesis. Does anybody have the patience and skill to beat this notoriously difficult game?

For Episode 6 we focus on our bullshit homework for the week; The Goonies on the Nintendo Famicom. We give an in-depth analysis of our experiences with the game over the past week.

In this Bonus Round we talk about Game Series that would benefit if you could play as the villain. Kevin talks about if using the Game Genie is considered cheating. Finally, we cover the topic of newer games straying away from physical copies and focusing on digital downloads.

In this episode we talk about the new NES homebrew Beerslinger, the Famicom exclusive Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti, Friday the 13th hack, Freddy vs Jason and our Bullshit homework game for the week, Predator for the NES.

Rob Bryant from Sly Dog Studios joins us for story-time as we talk about our Three Favorite Items in our Collections and why they mean so much to us. An absolutely brilliant bonus episode!

In this episode we interview Rob Bryant from SlyDogStudios about his recently released homebrew NES game The Mad Wizard. We also pry his demented mind on what other projects he is working on. Finally, we go over our experience with the first ever Bullshit Homework: Wrecking Crew for the NES!

In the second episode we talk about scalpers with Amiibos and the Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL, games we have been playing such as Alone in the Dark and Burgertime and Jeff’s impending move across the country. Is this the last time everyone is in the same room together?

The Angry Video Game Nerd used to be the standard for campy internet video game reviews. Some people like his new series where he does let’s plays, others want strictly AVGN episodes. Has he changed for the better or do we call bullshit?
