Welcome to The PlayStation All-Stars Ultimate Roster Showdown!
Remember PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale? Despite selling over 1 million copies, DLC support was canceled early on, and the game has been largely forgotten as it's online servers are now closing down.
However, there are many PlayStation fans that are hoping for a remaster or even sequel one day, and it is from that love and passion that we created this.
Each week, on our official Twitter, we will have a new poll in which we pit two PlayStation icons against each other. Alongside each poll will be an article on the site in which two writers make their case for each of the characters. And finally, every four matchups will get a podcast episode (in this feed) to recap the winners and theorize how they'd fit into the game. After 20 weeks and match ups, we'll have one big podcast to discuss all of the winners and our hopes and dreams for a sequel.
In this inaugural episode, Graydon Webb and Emmett Watkins Jr. explain what this whole showdown will be and then we chop off a few of the original characters from the roster to make room for the 20 new additions.
SPOILERS! Here's your starting lineup:
- Kratos (God of War) (PS4 bearded version, w/ Atreus)
- Parappa (classic verison, Um Jammer Lammy skin optional)
- Sweet Tooth (Twisted Metal) (Starhawk skin optional)
- Nathan Drake (Uncharted) (Old Drake from 4) (Sam costume optional)
- Cole MacGrath (inFAMOUS 1, 2, Festival of Blood) (Evil and good skins)
- Ratchet and Clank (PS4 version)
- Jak and Daxter (Jak barely talks, almost like Jak 1)
- Heihachi Mishima (Tekken) (PS1 polygon skin)
- Sackboy (LittleBigPlanet) (incorporate characters from 3 into moveset, Tearaway costume, use costumes to give references to other games)
- Sir Daniel (Medievil) (remastered version) (PS1 polygon skin)
- Kat (Gravity Rush) (Raven skin)

You were almost a Jill-Sandwich!
Were back with yet another episode of the show! This week, Emmett, Hunter, and Allan brought back Andy Sitz to talk all about how great Resident Evil 2 is (spoiler free of course). We also let Emmett talk about his foray into PC gaming and how he's liking his new desktop. And finally, Emmett talks about his time in the Dreams beta. Sucks for him though, the NDA for the beta lifted the next day, so he is vague on purpose for no real reason.Watch Star Trek: Evolution Episode 4: "The Battle of Vulcan"
