Who's ready for some giant monster fights?

Come on down to VGU's premiere retrospective podcast starring Graydon Webb and DJ Risio, as they navigate through Legendary's MonsterVerse films and piece together this Monarch mystery! Each week, they will re-watch and discuss another film (or two), leading up to the release of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire on March 28, 2024!

Week three brings the fight to Hong Kong, and boy howdy, it sure is a big one! The MonsterVerse collides in all its anticipated glory as our favorite giant lizard finally takes on our favorite monkey guardian (yes I know he's not a monkey). Godzilla vs. Kong took the world by storm during the pandemic, and it's even better the second time around!

Editor's Note: For some reason, Graydon's audio does give him a bit of a lisp at times. Recording in the car is rather difficult, so this was bound to happen. Sorry for that!

Week two brings us to the 2019 epic, Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Arguably the best film in the MonsterVerse so far, we had so many notes it filled a whole episode! Join us as we discuss the goddess that is Mothra, the nightmare that is Boston, and the beauty of the Kingsman franchise, in all its predictable glory.

Editor's Note: This episode had some wonky audio issues. We both start fairly loud, DJ gets quiet at times, and Graydon's audio gets choppy randomly. But hey, that's just how this cookie crumbles sometimes!

In this first episode, the boys revisit the 2014 blockbuster Godzilla, and 2017's Kong: Skull Island, two landmark films that helped kick off this franchise in their own... unique ways. Were they as good as we thought? Were they way better or far worse? Come along and find out!

Welcome to the Indie Book Club!
