Meet Our Guest:  Ebony Canion BKA as, Survival Story, is no stranger to adversity. A high school drop out in only the 9th grade Ebony would face many obstacles ahead but never let them define her. Ebony experienced countless traumatic events in her childhood and adulthood that have molded her to be strong, resilient, and faithful, in short a survivor.

On June 30, 2012, her strength was tested more than ever before even she was intentionally ran over by a speeding car, and then dragged for almost two hundred feet, with her body folded underneath the vehicle. She sustained over thirty life-threatening injuries and was in a coma for nearly two months and in the hospital for 4 months. The doctors told her family she would be in a vegetive state and may NEVER walk again. Her injuries at the time included a collapsed lung, fractured shoulder and jaw, seven broken ribs, broken legs, broken pelvis, and the skin on her back was ripped off from road burn. Trying to stop an altercation that fateful night would change her life forever. Ebony Canion, was “Left for Dead.

She became the C.O.O of an up and coming publishing company in august of that same year where she took part in the publishing of over 25 books under eleven authors. She then moved on to start her own publishing company in June of 2015. Under this up and coming company she has published nine of her own books as well as books by a few authors signed to her and branched out into a small typing contract, a music publishing contract and a text book publishing contract which will be rooted in knowledge of self. On This Episode of The Beautiful Butterfly Show, we step into the Music Scene as we welcome Special Guest Recording Artist Reggie Boone, as he shares some music from his latest album " Incomparable". 

Meet Our Guest: Reggie was born in Kingston, NC, the oldest of five children, and traveled extensively with his military family before settling in Killeen, Texas.  It was clear from the beginning that his destiny was music and he was without a doubt, “Born to Sing.”  Reggie began singing in church at a very young age, delivering gospel ballads with a powerful propensity and heartfelt message that set him a part, even then.

While performing in a talent show, Reggie was approached by an established R&B group called “Black Gold” who immediately signed Reggie as its lead singer.  The group successfully toured throughout the State of Texas, but split up shortly thereafter.

Reggie relocated to Dallas, Texas and continued performing throughout the 1990’s where he was subsequently discovered by  the renowned, “Steve Harvey,” an international actor and comedian.  This opened the door for Reggie to appear at the World Famous, “Apollo Theater.”  Reggie has worked with numerous national and regional artists throughout his career.  His musical influences include Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Sam Cook and the Isley Brothers.  Reggie is a natural first and second tenor with a smooth falsetto that gives off energy personified.
