On this Episode of The Beautiful Butterfly Radio Show we Welcome Eric Legette Author and Activist.

Mr. Eric Legette created Fathers With Voices in the summer of 1996 after learning a childhood friend was experiencing difficulties within the family court system.  When his friend did not receive the proper assistance from family court regarding maintaining a relationship with his child, he decided to walk away to avoid causing any trouble.  Mr. Legette asked himself, “How many men were forced to make a similar decision?”  Further, he wondered, “How many programs in New York City could assist someone like my friend?”  To his surprise, many fathers were having difficulty navigating the family court system and there were no programs to assist fathers.

 

Mr. Legette found the most pressing need for men was information and resources.  Mr. Legette created a library of resources including free or low cost consultation, contact numbers to local family courts, legal referral services, child support assistance programs and much more. Mr. Legette also researched the emotional importance of consistent father involvement so fathers would know they have more to contribute to their child’s life than child support payments.  

Fathers With Voices primary focus have been to assist men involved in family court cases.  However, the program has also assisted many mothers.  After speaking to thousands of men and women involved in the “drama”, Mr. Legette learned individuals engaged in intimacy too quickly without the benefit of getting to know each other and neglecting to ask questions before undressing.  These actions were a direct link to the reasons they became involved in the “drama”.

Jeane Graham, better known by her stage name “Jigi Deniro” is a multidimensional music artist from Dayton, Ohio. Jigi brings a fresh new perspective to the music industry with a Midwest swing that dictates her own lane. For Jigi, music has always been a release of a myriad of emotions that accompanies coming to age. Jigi's music is a reflection of that. On This Episode of The Beautiful Butterfly Radio Show We Welcome Canadian Singer and Songwriter Alexis Taylor as we Listen to her Two Hot New Singles " Blame it on The Whiskey" &  " Until I See You Again" .

Alexis Taylor is a Canadian singer and songwriter who was born and raised in the small town of Huntsville, Ontario. From a young age she showed a great interest in music, displaying proficiency in guitar, vocals, and strong capabilities in the area of songwriting.  

At the age of 12, she wrote her first song and learned how to play guitar shortly after.  Throughout her highschool years she performed in many local venues including the Huntsville Algonquin Theatre, The Gravenhurst Opera House, Hidden Valley Resort, and Deerhurst Resort.  She competed as a finalist in Muskoka Star Quest and was a part of the first annual Muskoka Song Night. By then, music had become an inseparable part of Alexis' life. 

After highschool, she continued to build upon her musical skills through studies at Berklee College of Music and performed at various venues and radio stations throughout North America. It was during a visit to Nashville, Tennessee in 2012 that Alexis fell in love with the city and decided to move there permanently to pursue music full time.  

Summer 2016 saw the launch of Alexis' international career with a tour throughout Scandinavia opening for renowned singer/songwriter Doug Seegers.

Currently residing in Nashville, Tennessee, Alexis is continuing to follow her dream of becoming a musician; performing at a variety of venues in North America, and working on new music she hopes to share in the near future.

Forgiveness does not erase a painful past. A healed memory will never become a deleted memory. Instead, forgiving what we cannot forget creates a new way to remember.

It takes good character and self control to be understanding and also to forgive someone who has done an unthinkable act toward you. Keep in mind, forgiveness will release you from the ankle weights that truly belong to your offender.
