Meet Our Guest Dr. Lorneka Joseph : A native of The Bahamas, Dr. Lorneka Joseph, is affectionate, bold, funny, friendly and passionate. She is a licensed-pharmacist, health coach, international speaker and author who currently resides in Florida.
As a little girl, her mother was diagnosed with renal failure. But years later, her mother began to have complications that warranted advanced medical care. Dr. Joseph traveled with her mother to Cuba only to find out that she was in the last stage of Multiple Sclerosis. Her mother died on mother’s day of 2003. Dr. Lorneka strongly believes that God used this pain to birth her purpose into becoming a pharmacist.
She began her tertiary education at The College of The Bahamas. After her mother’s death, she relocated to Florida where she obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Chemistry at Miami-Dade College. Dr. Lorneka completed her education at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee where she received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
She is a certified HIV/AIDS 500/501 counselor and tester, and also a member of the Florida Pharmacy Association and Phi Lambda Leadership Society. She speaks to communities around the world about healthcare, relationships and faith so that they may become whole.
Dr. Lorneka was inducted in the 2016 Miami Dade College Hall of Fame and it was truly an honor to receive such a prestigious award. Dr. Lorneka is employed by Walgreens. She also released her first book this Spring- Right Things, Wrong Season for women. In her spare time, she enjoys teaching at her church, singing, writing and spending time with loved ones. She lives by the scripture Matthew 6:33: Seek ye first the kingdom of God and everything else will be added unto you.
