  • Conversation with Trent - Featuring Lisa Page - "Why Are You Running From You?"
The greatest and most important adventure of our lives is discovering who we really are. Yet, so many of us walk around either not really knowing or listening to an awful inner critic that gives us all the wrong ideas about ourselves. We mistakenly think of self-understanding as self-indulgence, and we carry on without asking the most important question we’ll ever ask: Who am I really? As Mary Oliver put it, “what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”

  • Conversation with Trent - Featuring Lisa Page - "Fix Me I'm Broken"
All over the world people attempt to overcome pain by filling their lives with substitutes. These substitutes include alcohol, drugs, sex, material things, and even work. The main idea is to numb the pain with something else. Usually people hope to avoid pain with these substitutes. However, most of these substitutes only increase feelings of brokenness, hopelessness, and lead to lower self-esteem.
Most of us are sleep walking through life, with each encounter whether it be personal or professional we tend to become more broken with each interaction. We have to become very honest with ourselves before we can reach that  oneness from within.
Join Lisa and I as we tackle and discuss a topic most of us run from daily: "Fix Me I'm Broken"

  • B.Fly Welcomes Actor Vincent Ward from "The Walking Dead"
Vincent M. Ward was born  in Dayton, Ohio. Growing up, Vincent participated in basketball, football, and baseball. Given his competitive nature, he excelled in all of these sports, but Vincent’s desire to be great meant that he would have to choose one. He chose basketball, which he still plays to this very day. In his four years of high school, Vincent is the first and, so far, the only player on the varsity basketball team selected to start in each game spanning the four years of high school.
Vincent decided it was a good time to pursue another dream  he had to dance. He paired up with his childhood friend, Broderick Dumas, whom they called “Night”, and the two of them went on to enter and win numerous dance contests. They formed a dance duo and called themselves “Night and Day” a.k.a. The Twin Towers, (since “Night” stood 6’5” and Vincent stood 6’4”). The dynamic duo was approached by many professional entertainers to perform. Day and Night signed with Dr. Ease and the Ease Town Posse, and they toured with such groups as Public Enemy MC Light, X-Clan, MC Hammer, Heavy D and The Boys and others. Eventually, Vincent decided to sign with the “Slam Syndicate” which led him to Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
Vincent M. Ward has been successful in all of his endeavors, and the saying “The best is yet to come” has never been more relevant as he now pursues new dreams and new roles. His dream to act has brought him the greatest role yet in his role as Oscar in the sensational new series on Cable TV, “The Walking Dead!” Now the world will follow as Vincent M. Ward makes his way to the top!..

  • Conversation with Trent - Featuring Lisa Page - "Effective Co-Parenting"
    Effective Co-Parenting:
Is it about Her- Him- or the Kids? Frederick Douglas said,
"It's easier to build strong children than to repair a broken man."
Are we, as co-parents, building strong children? Do we put our children in the middle of a tug-o-war for attention? Do we attempt to buy them so they will 'love' us more then the other? Or give into their every whim to be the 'cool' parent?
Raising children is serious business. It can be fun, rewarding and at times nerve-racking. But doing your best is in the individual interest of your child, the group interest of your family, and the collective interest of society at large. Join us as we unpack the complexly simple issues of co-parenting. The good, the bad & the ugly.
Join us tonight at 8pm (CST) / 9pm (EST) as we discuss "Effective Co-Parenting"

  • B.Fly Welcomes Grammy Nominated Rapper and Actress Yo Yo
Yo-Yo (born Yolanda Whittaker) has been among the most sophisticated and unpredictable female MCs around. She doesn't take an overtly feminist tack but urges young women to show sexual restraint and use their minds as well as their bodies.
Her introduction to the hip-hop game came with an appearance on the 1990 Ice Cubetrack "It's a Man's World" (off his debut solo album, "AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted"). It wasn't until the next year, when East West America/Atlantic Records issued her first single, "You Can't Play with My Yo-Yo" (#1/#36 - R&B/Hot 100) that she gained critical acclaim and success.
After a successful year, she maintained her radio exposure with the singles "Homegirl Don't Play That" (#3/#53 - R&B) and "Black Pearl" (#11/#74 - R&B), which led to the release of her sophomore album with the same title (#145/#32 - Top 100 R&B). 1993 would prove to be one of her busiest years with film appearances in Who's the Man?, Menace II Society, Strapped  Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit and her third album's release, "You Better Ask Somebody" (#107/#21 - Top 100 R&B).
