Meet Our Guest: Jay Rush Jennings was born in Toledo Ohio to a musically gifted family. His singing career began when a few members of his family formed a group called the Dotsons. 

As Jay Rush grew older his life took a different turn to the streets, Being the product of a single mother and a fatherless household. He learned much of lifes lessons in the streets. The streets are credited for making him a man, So this is what he sings..He has pegged his own Genre of music called Street Soul. 

Today this music is proof of a grown man who possesses a talent incomparable and a determination unstoppable. Jay Rush's music offers a gritty glimpse into his life's journey thus far, and he is unapologetic about his style. Stephen Jerome Ferguson is a native of Washington D.C. Stephen got involved in music at the age of 12 giving him now over 45 years of experience in the music industry. He has worked with some major talents that include Chuck Brown, The Isley Brothers, Howard Hewett, Patrice Rushen and Roberta FlackStephen formed sjfmusic llc in 2012 as an independent artist production company. As a solo artist and producer, Stephen has released a total of ten albums between 2011 and 2015. His style is a blend of Jazz, R&B, Funk, Dance and Techno. He blends these styles into a smooth, rich sound that has earned him the nickname “Mr. Smooth” and has also earned him the respect of his peers in the industry.

 

Stephen retired from the US Army in 1992. During his time in the Army, Stephen served many years as an instructor at the Non Commissioned Officer’s School where his commander called him one of the best pure teachers he has ever seen. Stephen finished his military career by taking part in Operation Desert Storm with the 1st Armor Division.

With over 40 years experience in the music industry and with almost 20 years of music production and mastering experience, Stephen has earned a reputation as being one of the best in the indie music industry. What doesn't kill you make you stronger right? Well Christina has found love and a new life with Actor and Chef Willie Wallace. Things haven't always been smoothed for Ms. Johnson. In fact still till this day she battles with so much but she does it with a smile.

 

 A teen mom born to a teenage mother, Johnson refused to be a statistic. The Charlotte, NC native relocated to Atlanta, GA in 1997 with her two young daughters in pursuit of a creative career, but as fate would have it, she met and fell in love with burgeoning rapper/singer Cee-Lo (formerly of NBC’s The Voice). Sharing mutual passions for family life and artistic expression, Johnson served as Cee-Lo’s muse in several of his music videos, the couple married in 2000 and welcomed son Kingston O’Keefe Callaway in 2001. 

 

As one of the stars of VH1’s “Atlanta Exes”, Johnson values the sisterhood bond she’s developed with her enterprising cast mates, but she also hoped to shed light on Graves’ disease, an autoimmune disorder that affects the thyroid gland. Diagnosed in 2009, Johnson has undergone 3 surgeries but remains optimistic and active in spite of her condition. The visionary mogul is the co-founder of beauty brand Butterfly EFX alongside celebrity makeup artist Toni Acey, owner of Inner Piece Designs and founder of BFLY Coaching.

Benjamin Evans III joined BMe Community as Managing Director. He manages day-to-day operations for BMe including financial and program administration. In addition to his background in risk assurance  and accounting with Pricewaterhousecoopers LLC, Ben has over 10 years experience in social innovation, public relations, social media and as an executive director. For three years he directed Florida Department of the Elder Affairs STARS Program before going to work for Pricewaterhousecoopers LLC and eventually SecuriGlobe where he was marketing and brand director. Ben has a masters in business administration and a bachelors in accounting both from iconic historically black university, Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. Ben currently serves as Chair of the South Florida Youth Summit.

Yes People want someone they can communicate with, have fun with, try new things with. But people also still desire INTIMACY. Some where along the lines, the definition of intimacy has changed drastically to some. So we are going to discuss how people can improve their relationships and take their intimacy to a New Level where both people gain some enjoyment!

Relationship expert Ryeal Simms is the leading authority on the neuroscience of relationships worldwide.

Integrating the disciplines of Neuropsychology, biology and anthropology, Ryeal is a licensed and certified counselor with the Relationship Coaching Institute and the Prepare/Enrich Program. And his passion is analyzing the neuroscience of love by dissecting why we do what we do from an eco-bio-psycho-social-spiritual point of view. 

 

Ryeal, who has been featured in numerous publications and media programs, including Essence Magazine and on National Public Radio, served as the official relationship coach for the Hershe Group and the Tavis Smiley Foundation’s Leadership Institute. He also works as a relationship advisor for the entertainment industry and speaks at correctional centers, colleges and churches to motivate youth and adults to make wise relationship choices.

 Currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Neuropsychology, Ryeal is penning his Prepare For Love book series on the neuroscience of relationships and is happily married. He lives in Los Angeles, California.

Inspirational author, and music entertainment consultant, Dorean Edwards releases highly sought-after autobiography, “Trapped in a Little Girl’s Body.” Edwards was raised in an abusive household in St. Louis, MO. She has pushed through abuse, pain, tears and hardships to become a survivor who inspires others. Her autobiography, “Trapped in a Little Girl’s Body,” tells her story of abuse  endured at the hands of her stepfather from ages 7 to 17 while her mother sat in denial. She said the book reveals how she was raped, beaten and discarded. She overcame it all through faith, perseverance and forgiveness. Edwards found great strength in forgiveness. Faith and forgiveness led her to Chicago and then to Los Angeles where she has crafted a successful life and career of giving back to others through gospel music entertainment. She said, “I was raised in church, so I wanted to do something in gospel. My dad was a gospel singer. And I always wanted to inspire people in the gospel arena because of my growing up with low self-esteem.”

Her love of children and desire to instill self confidence in youth led Edwards to create “Stop the Violence, Think Education, Put God First” sixteen years ago.  This annual youth conference features workshops, panel discussions. Children also receive free school supplies. It has featured celebrities such as Nick Cannon, Flex Alexander and Shanice Wilson, Chris Tucker, Hill Harper Tia and Tamera Mowry, Kirk Whalum, Deitrick Haddon, Meagan Good, Mali Music, Willie Moore, Jr. and Angie Stone. “
