Vic's Basement

Today on Vic’s Basement we will share a few memories of the late, great Robin Williams, before moving on to our thoughts on The Expendables 3, and much more!

We’ve got a slick set of Indie Game Developer Gurus joining Vic and guest host Brian Provinciano today. Rami Ismail and Dan Adelman are speakers for the Full Indie Summit that’s in Vancouver, BC this weekend. They bring experience, knowledge, and passion to the table as they talk about the full time, independent game developer scene. Dan Adelman is bringing his knowledge of marketing to the indie game space to help indie developers avoid common marketing pitfalls while Rami Ismail is an indie developer in the flesh. The Full Indie Summit is a bringing together of many Full Indie Developers from all over to share their stories, successes, and games with each other.

Vic and Scott rant about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and its weak performance. The best part of the movie: the popcorn was excellent. They go on to talk about Guardians of the Galaxy and how awesome it is! Honest critique is given about the lack of Villain development. Comment your favourite villains below.

SPOILERS ELEMENTS: Some vague Guardians of the Galaxy spoilers are made. Not so much plotline. More about how actors portray their characters.

Scott is talking to Vic about Guardians of the Galaxy. How excellent the movie is and Scott gives us a James Gunn story. Everything else is just Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy. It’s a great bonus episode. Go clicky on the play button thingy and enjoy!

Vic and Marissa head to Comic-Con and join Jose Sanchez and Shaun Hatton to chat about what’s happening behind the scenes and how they spent their time at San Diego Comic-Con 2014. Shaun talks about stretching a per diem by eating bad food so you can buy toys and Marissa and Vic talk about their opportunities to host various panels at Comic-Con.

On our minds this week:

– The Purge: Anarchy

Vic and Marissa talk about the recent Indie Game Explosion, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, their plans for Comic-Con and more!

Look at all these games that are exploding onto the scene and other things we’re talking about:

Shovel Knight

What we’re looking forward to at San Diego Comic-Con!

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

And we answer YOUR questions!

Vic and Marissa talk about the Transformers Movie and how terrible it is. They continue on talking about the Transformers videogame. For today’s toy break we have viewer submitted artwork to show from Luc Bayou. The Google I/O conference has some easy VR technology and other upcoming technology. Vic talks about his thoughts on the Best Games of E3 and there is much, much more!

Scott calls in on the show today! Scott talks about his medical operation for his heart and new eight foot long penis. He’s missing the complaining, but is now a cyborg which is really cool. He answers some of your questions and talks about his thoughts about E3.

Today we have special guest, Tommy Tallarico, in this on-the-road Vic’s Basement special. That’s right the classic EP Host and fan favourite is here. He’s ribbin’ Vic on everything from the adventures they’ve had, to how things have changed, and how to dec out your car to feel like a vehicle from Star Wars. With news on the latest news about Video Games Live and travelling the world, Tommy and Vic catch up on everything.
