*Trigger Warning* DV Homicide & Abortion
This week, we have Alex Pyun, Amber Featherson, and Kileem Slayton with LoveSpeaksOut in Mecklenburg County join us to talk about their program and why it's important for teens. Also joining them are two survivors from their Domestic Violence Speakers Bureau, Elena Rogers and Brandy Alexander. Elena is a secondary survivor, losing her sister to a domestic violence homicide just two years ago. Brandy is a survivor who began dating her abuser in high school as teens and has since raised 3 children and left that relationship and has published a book about her life and experiences.
