This podcast is a reading of Chapter 6 of my new novel, Hire Lernin': An Idealist’s Quest Through the Realm of for-Profit Education. It concerns Dan's eye-opening one-day orientation at the flagship school in Manhattan that raises far more questions for him than it answers but does little to blunt his optimism and self-imposed mission to implement meaningful changes starting immediately as he fully begins his new role as dean of the Queens school.

This is a reading of approximately half of one of the longest short stories in my new book Echoes of the Mind's Eye: 13 Speculative Fiction Short Stories (C) 2021 - Victor D. Lopez. The short story involves among other things a novel theory as to the genesis of The Big Bang and the role played by black holes in the creation and extinction of infinite numbers of universes in the multiverse. It also explains what actually happened in the catastrophic shutdown on the Hadron Supercollider--at least according to the narrator's prescient dream.

This is a reading from my longest free-verse poem, Unsung Heroes, which deals with the lives of my grandparents and parents. Part I is about my maternal grandfather, Emilio, who died shortly after the end of the Civil War in Spain leaving behind a wife and nine children.
