Mike and Gabe are back on to talk about what happened in the East-West basketball games last week, plus Shiner beat Flatonia in a top 5 matchup. Mike makes an appearance on the wrestling mats and UHV's baseball season begins as the defending RRAC champions

Mike and Gabe are in the full swing of basketball season as Victoria East and Victoria West get ready to matchup on the hardwood. Also, with the bowl season over, what's next for area athletes Jordan Whittington, Dalton Brooks and Ruben Owens.

Mike and Gabe talk about Victoria West's tournament winning performance at the Mike Smith Classic this week, along with a look ahead to the East-West game next week. Several area coaches have been nominated for Texas Football's coach of the year. Mike and Gabe believe there should be a shot clock in high school basketball and look back at the best of 2023 and what's to come in 2024.

Gabe and Mike return from Jerry World, where Tidehaven fell short against Gunter. Several area athletes sign on early National Signing Day and with Mike on the basketball court that signals the beginning of basketball season.

Tidehaven is in the state championship, Ganado falls just short against Timpson and Edna cannot overcome Franklin. The UIL cutoff numbers were released confirming East and West will be in different classifications, and that Shiner will drop down to 2A, Division II.

Ganado shocks Refugio in the regional final, Edna, Tidehaven and Ganado all advance to the state semifinals and Mike talks about his Heisman vote and the case for each of the four finalists.
