Topic: Do You Exalt God Or Man? God Pleasers Get True God's Blessings And Long Term Favour.

Whether we preach, whether we share testimony or whatever we speak or do, if we are truly God's children, we must make sure we utilise the time to exalt the name of Christ, to glorify the name of Christ alone. And not to speak anything or do anything be it our words, deeds and soending our energy to please people. By doing so we spoil the person whom we are boasting and the gain is short term and the pleasure will be purely momentary and temporary which will not last.

Ephesians 6: 6 and 7 says: Not with eye service as men pleasers but as children of God doing the will of God, doing from the heart as to the Lord and not unto men.

Col 3 22 : we must be aware that we are in His presence....

Paul says. If I were trying to please man, then I would not be a servant of God. We cannot serve two masters. We have to either live to please Christ or to please someone else. We see many choose to please people either while sharing or praying or doing anything. Without using the person's name at least once to get some favour we hear often people talk accordingly forgetting opportunity to praise God, to give glory to God, to build His Kingdom and to please Him is lost forever.

Living with an agenda always to please people can be exhausting because it does not allign with God's design and purpose at all.

Our significance is secured in Christ and secured by Christ. We need to see as His people whom God chose and set apart for His glory.

Embracing our calling of conformity to Christ, help us dear lord never to be tempted to take glory and give glory to others but only to be secured in you to exalt you and please you in whatever we do or speak.

Topic: Joy And Meaning Of Life! It Is Found In Bible Even In The Midst Of Pressure And Pain.

Ps. 119:2. Blessed are they that seek His testimonies and that seek Him with the whole heart.

Well I hear often that many people face pressure, untold problems, and pain of their day to day existence. Normally people face the stress of life and vent it on others whoever they meet. These pressures get to them and they Crack Crumble and Crash. They are left hurting and hopeless. For many hopelessness and despondency has become their part of life and existence, and it also happens to all those who have everything in life. Because there is that emptiness and void.

Well, all Scripture is an inspiration to us. But If you want to know the importance of the word of God, the numerous blessings it gives, there is one author who not only experienced it in his personal life but shared it with us. He expresses how blessed and meaningful life would be if we search, read and meditate the Word. The author expresses how he experienced the joy, peace and the taste of the inspired Word of God. He says it is sweeter than the honeycomb.

I'm talking about the author who is unknown who penned the beautiful Ps. 119 which has so many hidden mysteries of the Word.

It is the biggest chapter in the Bible containing 176 verses and It is divided into 22 passages or you can call it 22 letters. If you notice it carefully, each passage has eight verses.

Each denoting with a name which has a meaning actually. For eg. The first one, Aleph.

The emptiness the void the depression and anxieties are replaced with hope, Joy, Peace and meaning and purpose in life when we meditate the divine Word.

When we spend undisturbed time in meditating passage after passage which has just 8 verses each. But each verse gives a deeper revelation and treasures of life.

Help us to understand the mysteries and the revelations of thy Word like the psalmist. May the Word become our lifeline, become our guideline and sweetener of life Lord...

Topic: Leaders And Leadership! It Can Either Draw People To Christ Or Away From Christ.

John 10: 11: I am the good shepherd; the Good Shepherd giveth His life for His sheep.

God wants all of His children to be “spiritual leaders.” You may not think of yourself as a leader, but in Mark 16:15, God has commissioned all of us who are called as His children to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”

There are different ways of “preaching” and “witnessing,” but the strongest and most effective way of sharing our faith as a leader is to “lead by example!”

Our daily actions will go further to influence others than anything else!

When we react to hostile situations with humility instead of angry words, people notice! But, we fail sometimes and some, fail oftentimes. 😨

It's upto an individual to judge where we stand.

When we act in kindness instead of indifference, people notice! And when we are honest, people notice! When we are manipulative and cunning, people notice and observe us from distance. The world watches our lives more than our works.

"A leader is one who knows the way, shows the way and goes the same way." John C Maxwell said.

Some only know the way. There are Some who know the way and show the way. There are few who know, show and go the way. Such people or such leaders bring great blessings. These are very successful because such leaders influence others through their lives.

*The Bible says in*

*1 Timothy 4:12,* “Be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

Parents are leaders in the family. Teachers are leaders in the school. A good parent or a good teacher is, they not only teach, instruct, but they live and follow what they teach.

Unless we have Christ living within us, we can’t lead anyone . . . anywhere! Our example can either lead people “to” Christ or “away” from Him, so it’s critically important that our every action is guided by the Holy Spirit! Yes, God has chosen us for leadership;

Activities are not important but our positive influence to build them is more important.

John C. Maxwell is widely considered to be one of the world's top leadership thinkers. Here are his few important quotes of his, on leadership and their qualities.

"Leadership is not about titles, positions or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another."

Father, help all of us to influence others by our deeds and life ao that they will be blessed. Root out all corrupt and wordly thought and be an influence in whatever we do and wherever we are.. In Jesus marvelous name we pray..

Topic: Why Jesus Cursed The Fig Tree?

A young girl in the Sunday School asked this question, "Why Jesus cursed the fig tree?" It is not just the young girl needs the answer, but many people wondered Why Jesus cursed the tree? Well, it's recorded in Mt. 21: 17 to 22 and in Mark 11: 12 to 24.

John 15:8 Jesus said, "Herein is my father glorified that ye bear much fruit."

We all know very well trees do not have breath of life and no living soul... But still Jesus cursed the tree. Why did he curse it? We know Jesus always spoke in parables and everyday objects and activities to teach life spiritual lessons.

As we know most of the trees bear fruit in certain season but not in all seasons.

For eg. Mango tree bears fruit only during summer season.

Similarly fig trees produce figs during may month and in some areas in november also. Jesus saw no fruit on the fig tree probably when it was not the season. But Jesus was hungry and came near to see the fig tree fruitless, and so He cursed it.

So, similarly Jesus expects us to be fruitful, to be a blessing. He cursed it to teach us few lessons. God wants us to bear fruit in all seasons unlike fig trees. Not one season up and another season down.

People around the globe are trying to find peace, joy, meaning and purpose in life. It all depends on those who believe and abide in Christ and show to the world the fruit bearing qualities of joy, peace and purpose in life.

Unlike the fig tree the Lord expects us to be fruitful in all seasons. And hence He narrated it by cursing the tree. When we are seriously sick or in deep trouble, people should see a ray of hope and assurance radiating in us.

When we attend a revival meeting spirit soars up in us. But when temptations come some people fall again and again. The Lord cautions such people to be consistent and victorious over such temptations to be fruitful.

God wants us to be fruit bearing in all seasons abundantly. People Must be blessed by our lives more than our activities. Our life must speak more than our talk. Fruits do not remain on the tree like that. Is it not? They are plucked and enjoy by those who eat. Similarly we need to be selfless giving the fruit of blessing to the world.

Help us Lord to be a blessing to everyone and not be a stumbling block so that the world is blessed. ....

Topic: Word Of God Is Like A Mirror. It Not Only Shows How We Are But Also Removes All Scars And Black Spots In Us.

We have We different grades of detergents to wash our clothes. Surf, Surf Excel, and for delicate clothes, there is Genteel cleansing detergent.

But for our lives to clean from dirt and black spots, the best cleansing agent is the Word of God.

You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

John 15:3

The Word of God is a cleansing agent in our lives. The water of the Word washes us from our sinful pasts and painful habits to make us clean and complete in Christ.

In Exodus 30, God instructed Moses to build a bronze laver for the Tabernacle. Before the priests could minister at the altar or enter the Holy Place, God required them to wash and then enter.

When we read the Word of God, we look into a mirror. We see our reflection there. We read it, and – since the Word is alive – it reads us. If a woman looked into a mirror and saw smeared lipstick and smudged mascara, she would make again and again the necessary remake to be presentable again.

We must do the same. We need cleansing. When we open God’s Word and see our flaws reflected there, we must seek forgiveness at once and not delay, and turn away from it and then see in the mirror of the Word of God.

With His help, we must make the necessary changes to come into alignment with what He requires as how a woman does with her lipstick.

We must act on what we see! Do not glance in the mirror, walk away, and forget what the Word has spoken. We need to be cleansed by His Word.

Often times, the stains and the spots remain because many just read the Word of God as a ritual without remembering what is read.

We need to make best use of the cleansing agent - Word of God so that we can be clean, clear and look good not only on the outside but from within.

Ps. 119: 9. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse His way? By taking heed according to the Word of God.

Cleansing agent does not allow the dark spots to come up. Thy Word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against Thee. Ps. 119: 11.

Wash ne thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

A cleansed person will never stink and become rotten but becomes a usable vessel to be used.

1 John 1 9 says, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all our unrighteousness.

Cleanse us O Lord so that the world is drawn towards us because of the aroma of Christ we portray. In ....

Topic: Character Is More Important Than Reputation. Being More Concerned Of Character Than Reputation Is The Need Of The Hour.

Our reputation is what others think of us, which may or may not be true, but our character is who really we are. Your character is the real you in the sense that you cannot separate what you do from who you are.

Abraham Lincoln once said, "Character is like a tree and reputation is like it's shadow . The shadow is what we think of it; the tree 🌳 is the real thing."

Many people try to impress upon others with their reputation more than the character. A person may have good character but have no reputation. Reputation for a good character will come in the course of time by seeing the good deeds of us.

A person may have good reputation because of his wealth and richness but may have bad character. But a character can never have bad reputation.

Perfect example for it is from the Bible is the life of Joseph in the Old Testament.

You can read Gen. 39: 1 to 5 and 7 to 9. If we read carefully, Josrph reputation was zero when he came to Egypt to Pitiphar's house not just as a slave but a captive slave. He was a nobody, insignificant before everyone. But he had the fear of God and reverence to the God of Israel from where he was picked up.

The revelation or the mystery that God gives us as we mediate this passage is when we fear God truly. And live a trustworthy life of honesty and integrity. Then, alongwith our good character God blesses our life and gives a reputation the world can see and wonder in awe.

When Joseph was lured by Potiphar's wife enticing and tempting him, his character was tested. And his response to Pitiphar's wife was in 9th verse, "There is no one greater than I,

nor had my master kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How Can I Do This Great Wickedness and Sin against God?"

Here we can note that Joseph feared God. And God's favour was upon him and he was elated to high position. And at this stage of his greatness and reputation from slave to overall overseer of the house he put His character affront and stood the test. His wife put false accusations and maligned Joseph's name and reputation and was out in prison. To cut the story short God finally elevated Joseph from prison to Ruler over Egypt.

Reputation is temporary; character is permanent. When we pursue character, reputation follows.

Help us Lord to desire to have a good character Lord reflecting the true light of Chrust rather than scrambling to have reputation.

1 John 5:4 “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

It looked during one phase of the game or a brief moment India would trip over at the final hurdle once again. Everyone felt at one point of time, Could it be another case of 'so near yet soo far'?

Because the equation for South Africal was to score just 30 runs in 30 balls... Very easy by any standard. But, India Comeback from dead state to emerge champions 🏆 is astounding. It's certainly not a match to be watched by weak hearted.

We also as God's children can rise from defeat and failure and comeback strongly closer to Christ.

All the agony of losing at the final is a thing of the past and erased. In lifting the T20 World cup after 17 long years, India gave Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and the ever graceful gentleman, Rahul Dravid the Indian coach the ultimate farewell. Every player from both teams, including the winning team had tears of emotions.

India, the winning group had tears of joy. The other hand the losing team, South African dreams have been shattered and broken. They shed tears, but tears of sorrow, disappointment and anguish for not winning the Cup.

Every Indian player will be rewarded richly for their outstanding performance.

As children of God we can learn many things ftom this event.

Virat Kohli has been complete flop in this world cup tournament including in the semifinal match.

However, in this tournament, it's the highly consistent n high performance of Rohit Sharma all the way.

But, he never showed any signs of arrogance and pride even after his great success. He was gracious in all his speeches as a captain. When the media reminded Rohit about Kohli's poor form, he was magnanimous in praising Kohli about his past performance and his records.

He supported, encouraged and stood behind Kohli talking good about him in his low time. That's the greatness of a great human.

We all as christian can learn from such lives though they do not known the truth, but yet live such an exemplary life.

We must not give up in our Christian life or our walk with Christ when the road is dusty and difficult to tread.

Every temptation and trial we overcome, blessings are added and His favour will be upon us.

When we run the race successfully and faithfully, we receive the crown which is not just for two years like this cricket world cup but for eternity..

Help us Lord not to get bogged down or tired and give up, but press on to overcome all temptations and trials, and to run the race successfully in order to receive the eternal crown.

I thank you Lord for your presence and all you have done for me. Especially in the dark times when the world is in turmoil and the world forsakes me.

Lord I know you are in control, and your grace and mercy are at work in my life.

I know father I'm a sinner, sinned in thought, word and deed. I ask for forgiveness of my sins. Create in me a clean heart and refresh my soul and renew my spirit.

I ask you to heal me from my past pains, ftom my past sins. Heal me from hurt and insecurities. I love you and need you everyday of my life.

Cover me with the precious blood of Jesus. Cover my friends and dear ones also, safe from every evil, sickness and disease.

Place your protective angels around us keeping us safe from evil of the world.

Let my thoughts be your thoughts. And let my words be your words. I seek to be closer to you than ever before. I know with you beside me, I can do anything.

Topic: Everyone Deserves Respect. You Are Not Worthless But Worthy...

Every Person Is Worthy of Respect.

1 Peter 2:17. “Show proper respect to everyone.”

Respect is almost at the risk of extinction. It has truly become an endangered value in these days.

Culture may change, times might have changed, technology has changed, but we ought to remember God's Word and biblical values remain the same.

The Bible makes it clear that stable families—and stable societies, stable churches —are built around respect. The Bible commands us to honor our parents. In olden days, its not that children feared parents, but they showed reverence to them. Love always treats people with respect. Even if parents are wrong there is a graceful way of presenting it by children. Children who respect the parents and please them by their conduct and pleasing manners without arguing and causing hurt, such children will be blessed abundantly.

Also respect civil authority, and respect church Pastors and leaders. Wives are called to respect husbands in Ephesians. In the book of 1 Peter, husbands are called to respect wives. Just to make it clear that God leaves no one out, as I said earlier, the Bible says, “Show proper respect to everyone” (1 Peter 2:17)

Everyone, regardless of beliefs or behaviors, is worthy of respect.

Why?

God has crowned everyone with glory and honorl. Psalm 8:5 says, “You made them inferior only to yourself; you crowned them with glory and honor”. God does not make junk. No one is worthless. People make wrong decisions, but they are still valuable to God. Even the most unlovable person in the world is loved by God. When you show someone respect, you show them their value as God’s creation.

Jesus died for everyone. The Bible says, “God paid a ransom to save you and me . . . He paid for us with the precious blood of Christ.” (1 Peter 1:18-19).

You may not place much value in certain people, but God does. In fact, he says every person you meet is worth dying for. Doesn’t that change the way you look at people?

It shows you know God. The Bible tells us that God is love. If you know God, then you will fill your life with love. The Bible says, “If a person is not loving and kind, it shows that he doesn’t know God—for God is love.” (1 John 4:8). Love always treats people with respect.

You will get back whatever you give out. It’s the law of the harvest. Whatever goes around comes around. If you want to be respected, then treat other people with respect. Galatians 6:7 says, “You will always harvest what you plant”.

By learning to love each other, we become “eager to show respect for one another.” (Romans 12:10) You will more easily respect others when you recognize what God has done for them and try to love them more like he does.

Give everyone of us your strength to be graceful and respectful towards others Lord, as we know you purchased everyone of us with your blood and we are created in your own image. In ....

Topic: Life's Struggles. When Life Overhelmns You, Focus On Steadfast Love Of God.

"The steadfadt love of the Lord never ceaseth; His mercies never come to an end. They are néw every morning. Great is thy faithfulness. Deep in my heart I say, ‘The Lord is all I need; I can depend on him!’”

Lamentations 3:22-24.

Emotional exhaustion isn’t new. It’s also not something foreign to the Bible. Just read the book of Lamentations.

When Jeremiah wrote the book, Jerusalem had been captured. The Israelites were in exile. Everything Jeremiah held sacred had been destroyed.

He was emotionally exhausted, and for an entire book of the Bible, Jeremiah releases his frustrations and expresses his emotions to God.

In the midst of these complaints, he refocuses on God. He writes, “Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this” (Lamentations 3:21).

What brought Jeremiah hope during this very difficult time? He answers immediately:

“The Lord’s kindness never fails! If he had not been merciful, we would have been destroyed. The Lord can always be trusted to show mercy each morning. Deep in my heart I say, ‘The Lord is all I need; I can depend on him!’” (Lamentations 3:22-24).

Jeremiah refocuses on five truths about God that help to refuel him in the midst of his exhaustion. He remembers:

God’s *Steadfast love*

God’s *Unfailing mercy.*

God’s *Great faithfulness.*

God is *Always kind.*

God is *Real hope.*

When life overwhelms you, don’t focus on your problems. Don’t give in to despair. Instead, focus your attention on God himself.

Many people reach for chocolate or other sweet treats when they’re emotionally exhausted. But those can’t truly comfort you.

But notice the acronym above: SUGAR. It will help you remember the truth about God, even when you’re exhausted. It’s the only kind of SUGAR that will actually refuel you. It won’t give you a sugar high, make you gain weight, or make you more depressed.

Build your life around those character traits of God, and you’ll be ready for whatever setback comes your way.

How do you think you might have responded to a disaster like Jeremiah faced—and like many people face around the world today—when his home city was destroyed and his people were exiled?
