Loneliness is one of the greatest problems people face today. It is a leading cause of suicide all over the universe irrespective of rich or poor or a celebrity. People feel various kinds of loneliness.

It is possible to be with people and still feel lonely. There is the loneliness of suffering. They suffer within without disclosing to anyone and become even more lonely. Many people experience loneliness in society, or there is the loneliness of sorrow, guilt, and judgment. Some feel loneliness when they lose someone precious and dear ones. They feel the whole world is crushed and closed.

All of us feel at times loneliness especially during low times... We don’t know what it is. It makes us restless. Is there a way out?? You see, man was made for God; and without God, he is lonely. Is it possible to overcome loneliness??

Laziness Travels So Slowly, That Poverty Soon Overtakes Him. Pr. 13:4

Prov. 10:4. Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.

Prov. 12: 24. The hands of the diligent will rule.

Laziness has no place in the character of a follower of Christ. And also in this competitive world, where there is cut throat competition between person to person and between an organisation to organisation. Need to be on toes, alert, disciplined and hardworking.

Three years back we shifted our residence to our own home at Old Alwal......

There is no place for anyone to relax. Value added work and value engineering is the need of the times.

I was working for a Pharmaceutical coy as DGM Purchase. I was fascinated by our C& M.D who was always on toes.

He used to shuffle from Production plant to Corporate office at least twice a day. Moment he comes to office he will have a meeting with Sr. Mngt.......

Hard work, smart work, discipline and sincere work will always carry God's blessings on anyone and no one can halt your success.

In life, we can never be on a roller coaster and think, this is fun, I will be here forever. Need to be on toes and be alert. Otherwise we too meet the same fate like the "hotel management" which was not geared up... "The best things end, and so do the worst things."

Eccl. 11:4. Whoever watches the wind will not plant. Whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.

Heb 13:11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Luke 12:35:

Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning.

While working hard, shedding laziness and slothfulness, let us believe the word from Phil 4 :13. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Topic: Only God Can Bring Treasure Through The Darkest Times. Wealth And Riches, Status, Power Cannot Bring Any Relief Against Sudden Storms Of Life That Buffet Us, But Only The Risen Christ, If He Is The Lord Of Our Lives.

Proverbs 23:18. Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.

There are times in this life, agonizingly painful times, when it can seem that all hope is lost.

But, Many times we want to shine, without the pain and uncertainty of what the hard stuff brings.

We long to reflect beauty without the glaring weakness of deep cracks that line our stories and fill us with holes. We want to cover what was broken and scarred, masking the struggles of a past that took us down difficult pathways. And yet, embracing the beauty of the broken is what enables us to live free.

Evangeline is such young, sweet and faithful woman who has Christ as her Saviour and her Lord.

She lost her 5 year old only daughter suddenly through a mysterious disease.

Though she was heart broken, yet she kept praising the Lord as usual. The joy she exhibited baffled the carnal world who had no clue.

In addition, inspite of gentle love and patience she showed towards her husband, yet, she has to face in her day to day life with her husband’s addiction, recovery and relapse, and his rebellion. And then, one day, she found her husband too dead.

She was crestfallen at that moment. But, she rose from the pit of despair to rejoice and praise the Lord. That's exactly true and genuine transformation. That exactly shows she is indeed a new creation and experienced and tasted His tender love and His mercies.

Like Job’s friends in the Bible, sometimes we’re speechless at the pain of another. “Then Job's friends sat on the ground with him for seven days and nights,” "No one said a word to Job, for they saw that his suffering was too great for words” (Job 2:13). Silently giving the gift of prayer and presence is beautiful.

God, however, is not silent nor unaffected by our suffering. He entered into all of the suffering of humanity for all time, willingly through the sacrifice of Jesus. The suffering of the cross of Jesus makes it possible for us to say with the writer of Proverbs, “Surely there is a future and your hope will not be cut off” (Proverbs 23:18).

Here is our lifeline and bedrock, even in the darkest night of the soul. “Because of God’s tender mercy,” Scripture says, “the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace”

Topic : Never Give Up! But Press On...!

Everyone Faces Hardship, Injustice, Adversity, Sickness, Loss of Loved Ones, Failures, Ups And Downs In Life, And Life's Challenges.

Philip 3:14. “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

To press toward the mark is, to faithfully continue on the “strait and narrow path which leads to eternal life” with our Savior and our Father in Heaven.

Discouragement because of failures or defeats, or life not up to our expectations can rob peace, joy, contentment and loss of hope, and thereby we many tend to give up in the middle.

But I know people whom I observed who appeared to be in an impossible situation. A few years later, however, to my joy and suprise they were in a terrific place in terms of their circumstances, or their emotions. What could be the reason? They never gave up amidst adversities, difficult challenges and hardship. Instead of sulking in self pity

or blaming others for their situation, they chose to come back and believe God and believe in themselves, step out in faith and come out of the emotional self pity.

We see initially Habakkuk, the prophet cried out desperately questioning the Lord Almighty saying, "How long shall I cry and you will not hear? Why do you show me iniquity and cause me to see trouble? Hab. 1 : 2 & 3.

Both, Prayer and hard work are needed to climb the Mount Everest of success, even when we are down and out. When we work hard together with persistent prayers, we can walk into an impossible situation, climb the mountains of challenges and move in confidence in ways mightier than we can imagine.

Do you and I can live in eager expectations of what the Lord will do? Or di we choose to linger in depths of despair, desperation and self pity? It's upto us.

Can we not turn our disappointments, dejection and depression to His appointments and blessings like prophet Habakkuk? In the end, ad we know Habakkuk comes back triumphantly concluding his positive conversation with God in Hab. 3: 17 to 19 saying, "Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labour of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation."

Silence is a source of great strength. There has been an observation by the Psychologists that wise & highly learned men are mostly silent & seldom they react. On the other hand as we know the proverb, "Empty vessels make much noise."🙂

What does the Bible say about being silent or being soft?

1. Ecclesiastes 9:17. The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools.

2. Prover. 15:01. A soft answer turneth away wrath; but grievous words stir up anger.

3) Proverbs 17:28. Even fools are thought wise when he holdeth his peace.

We need to think right, believe right, confess right (declare right like Caleb) and act right instead of thinking wrong and confessing wrong.....

Topic: How You End Is More Important Than How You Start! Statistics say around 85 to 90% In The World Start Off Well, But End Poorly Or Give Up...

Eccl. 7 : 8. The end of a thing is better than it's beginning.

Be it studies, competitive exams, pursuing good job, preparing for interviews, marriage, or in spiritual walk with Christ, discipline, determination and perseverance is the key to end well and be successful.

There are approximately 100 biographies in the Bible, and of those, only 30-35% of the people finished well. Why does it happen? To answer that question, we need to understand what it means to not finish well. There can be so many characteristics in our lives which do not allow us to end strongly but either give up - losing.

Out of them here are few characteristics explained as why people don't finish well. It can be many of these or a combination of these traits describes that they are not going to finish off well....

Remember Enoch, Caleb, Ruth, Hannah at the end of their Lives? They finished well!

Out of so many, here are fifteen characteristics listed which do not allow us to Finish Well:

1.

Lost your first love for God.

2.

So, You have lost your spiritual passion for the things of God.

3.

You are completely backslidden and away from God.

4.

You are resentful toward those who hurt or betrayed you.

5.

You are neither learning nor growing spiritually.

6.

You no longer share your faith with fellow Christians or of other faiths.

7.

You are cynical and critical about church pastors' and God's servants.

8.

You are – no longer growing

9.

You are isolated and become unaccountable in your walk with God.

10.

You have hidden sins and habits that grip your life as a slave.

11

It has been years since you led someone to faith in Christ. Irony is many never led anyone to Christ.

12.

Your passion and desire to pray for leaders, your fellow believers and others dipped low.

13.

Loss of stomach to fight spiritual battles

14.

No faith for the impossible to happen.

Colossians 3:23-24

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

I've received a familiar post (which you too must be knowing) from a well wisher, which I would love to share, as it's very appropriate for today's topic.

Years ago the popular and renowned actor, Richard Burton was given a grand reception in his childhood parish. While replying to the complimentary speeches in the parish auditorium, he asked, if there was anything, they specially wanted to hear from him.

After a minute’s pause his old pastor asked him if he could recite the Good Shepherd Psalm (Psalm 23), which he had taught Burton in his Sunday school.

A strange look came over the actor’s face. He paused for a moment, and then said, “I will, on one condition—that after I recite it, you, my pastor and teacher will do the same.”

The old retired pastor agreed and said, "I'm not an actor like you, but, if you wish it, I shall recite.”

Impressively the actor began the Psalm. His voice and intonation were perfect. He held his audience spellbound, and, as he finished, a great burst of applause broke from the audience. And he was happy.

As it died away, the old pastor rose from his wheelchair and began to recite the same Psalm. His voice was feeble and shivering and his tone was not faultless. But, when he finished, there was not a dry eye in the room. Everyone in the audience were in tears.

The actor rose and his voice quivered as he said, ‘”Ladies and gentlemen, I reached your eyes and ears, but my old pastor has reached your hearts. The difference is just this: I know the Psalm, but he knows the Shepherd.”😊

Most of the present day sermons resemble the speech of the actor to get applause, fame and favour.

They are very few who speak about Cross, Christ, love and repentance from strongholds of addiction of various sins.

Topic : Blessings We Inherit When We Fear God or When We Have The Fear Of The Lord.

When Bible speaks of fear of God, it does not mean to be afraid of God, but to give reverence to Him in obedience as He is holy.

The wonderful gift from God has brought joy and gladness into the lives of several God's children who had the fear of the Lord.

The fear of the Lord is so crucial in our lives, Solomon emphasis its importance in Prov. 1:7. Fear of the Lord is the begining of knowledge.

Here are also some unique blessings for those who fear the Lord.

1.

There is *no lack* to them who fear the Lord. Ps 34: 9. There is no lack or no want to those that fear Him

1. *It Protects And Delivers us from all harm, evil, sin and danger.*

Ps 34:7.The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and delivers them.

2. *Showers His Mercies.* Mercies of the Lord are always upon them that fear Him.

Ps 103 : 17. Mercies of the Lord are from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him and not on everyone.

Ps 11: 11: For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great us His mercy towards them that fear Him. And not on everyone.

Luke 1: 50.

And His mercy is upon those who fear Hom from generation to generation.

How true it is... If we observe godly parents, godly saints who fear God and give reverence to Him in obedience, they also show the same respect and reverence and conduct themselves well and decent in the society. Such people, their generation and generations are blessed.

3. *Gives us strong confidence and faith.* Prov. 14: 26. In the Fear of God one has strong Confidence and his children will have refuge.

These blessings do not come to us, if we just preach, pray good and be busy in Christian activities without the fear of God.

If we keep on sinning and holding on to our sins, we cannot expect the Lord's hand to protect us nor to show mercy. It will neither give us the resurgence in faith. Only when we repent and live a life with reverence and fear of God, we enjoy these things and our generations will be blessed.
