Last week we spoke of what happens when we give! I want to minister today from a perspective that I believe most Christians’ don’t consider. Why do Christians, when they know God’s Word advocates, and not only requires, but also assumes that Christians are supposed to tithe; still don’t? Let’s try to consider the reason most Christian’s ‘who’ don’t tithe, ‘won’t’… it has to do with the other 90% of God’s money ...which He charges us to be good stewards. Understand, God wants us to be financially free, but He’ll allow us to live in a prison of our own making if we insist to do things our way instead of His.

Today I’m going to continue our series, the ‘P’s’ in God’s Garden and living a Victorious Christian Life. Today’s ‘P’ is the ‘Partnering with God.’ I want to talk about partnering with God. I know people who quit a church because they talk about giving. I don't blame some, but don’t understand most. Or, using guilt to get you to give, you know you could feed 8,234 children if you’d cut out lattes and show a picture. Most sermons on giving are designed to get us to give more. That's not today! I want to help us understand what happens when we give. Many here already give and support VLCC.Yet some wonder what happens next. Some don’t need motivation, they just need explanation; what happens after we give. So today, I want to share with you some of the things that happen when we give. Then when we are done, I’m not going to receive an offering… WOW! So here we go… VERY SIMPLY… WHEN WE GIVE:

The Bible clearly teaches us that the real issues of life are spiritual and are really matters of the heart, the inner man. Although we find it hard to believe, the truth is, “the heart is desperately wicked above all things and only God can search it and find its cure” (Jeremiah 17:9). I think the basic reason why Christian faith meets with opposition in the world and even finds resistance in our own hearts is that true saving faith always brings with it the reshaping of our heart and mind so that it is no longer we who live but Christ in us. For a Christian, desire is a heartfelt effort, compulsion, or longing to take on a worthwhile, Godly, or God—like effort or direction for the benefit of His kingdom. I believe that it is possible to cultivate a deep desire for God that produces spiritual growth in us; and that leads to changed lives, healed marriages, realized forgiveness, and changed families.
