Beatitudes described the internal character traits of a disciple of Jesus who is commited to kingdom living. Externally, though, what is our identity in the world? How are we to relate with the unbelieving world? What does it look like?

If we hope to enter the kingdom of heaven one day, how do we ensure that we are living lives worthy of God's kingdom? Simple answer, listen & learn from the king!

Psalm 23 is arguably the most beloved text of the Old Testament. The richness of this sacred text is seen in the intimate way in which David depicts the relational closeness of God and His people. The character and person of God is on display in this song. 

John's gospel is so often overlooked at Christmas time. There are no nativity narratives or stories of the arrival of uninvited guests. John does highlight the profundity of the Christmas story. Let's finally here John's version of the story!

Paul, the founding pastor of the Corinthian church received a report that there were arrogant, prideful factioins in the church. The christians in Corinth were jockeying for positions of superiority & privelage. Paul writes back to remind them of their humble beginnings before they came to faith in Christ. The Cross is central to the message of the Gospel and by its very nature it is offensive to people, but yet Christians go out of their way to mitigate the offense. Should we? How did Jesus, Peter & the early Christians understand the Cross of Christ.

Seeing ourselves with God's eyes has immense value. The narrative today will challenge our perspective of Christians. 

For some, the Thanksgiving holiday provides the necessary impetus to begin to feel a sense of gratitude. First, is this indicative of us? Second, Paul's triadic exhortations might be instructive for us as we seek answers to these questions.
