In this episode we discuss the roots of codependency and how it affects your true God-given identity. My guest is Leah Cettina who didn’t even know she was thinking and acting codependently until she joined a Celebrate Recovery program.

Leah shares when and how she discovered she was using codependency to identify with herself and others. She shares her own journey of how codependency shaped her behavior within her relationships as she sought acceptance from people more than the acceptance of God. You can be set free from acceptance-seeking behaviors when you know that God accepts you just the way you are. After all, He created you to be like Him.

When we know who we are in Christ we can see ourselves for who we truly are (made in His image). We can be set free from adopting and utilizing negative behaviors like codependency. The only One we should be dependent upon is our Saviour.

This story is about the greatest substance swap ever! It's about trading substance abuse for the substance of faith. The Bible tells us that faith is, "...the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.' Hebrews 11:1.

He invites you to come to Him, believe in Him- He is faithful and is able to restore you. God is calling you- will you answer?
