Stupid statements and actions by people in the sports world! Several questions about this week's study regarding the power of God. What is the biggest mistake parents are making with their children?

I have studied many of the greats of the past and known many of the greats of modern day. I have found one thing they all had in common. They were ordinary people who fully surrendered to an extra ordinary power---available to you and I today. We need people who dare to get hungry for His power and to be used for His glory!

2 Kings 2:1-15 Elisha has seen the power of God in Elijah's life and wants it. He refuses the leave Elijah's side and begs for a "double portion" of God's power. When we realize the availability of God's power and really get hungry for it AND ask for it---things will happen!

I've met many over the years who could tell others what God could do for them BUT just couldn't believe it for themselves! God says His power is in us when we trust Him. He would say, through Paul, in Romans 8:16 and 17 that "if children, then heirs; joint-heir with Jesus Christ." Do you really believe that/ That you are a "joint-heir" with Jesus?

2 Thes. 2:2 tells us to NOT be soon shaken by the things happening! Yet, I am hearing from people everyday that are shaken---worried---and falling apart with fear over the things we see going on around us. Listen and learn the freddom and power we have over the things happening and that we have a God whose only limits are between our two ears.

What were some of the worst parent stories you dealt with? What can be done about the rampant crime situation with kids? When did all this start? The attacks on spanking, traditional moral values, parental rights, motherhood and fatherhood!

When a person )teen) is begging for help and open to listen---it would be an entirely different matter if we didn't hav an answer---BUT WE DO! And, one of these days we will face the ONE who died to give us (and them) life and He is going to ask---"WHY"

Gen. 42 tells the story of Joseph's brothers and the result of their ignoring his pleas for help. No question many teens do not want nor will listen to help BUT what about the ones who do. You will hear the stories of two young men today---begging for help. Read Proverbs 3:27 and 28.

There is coming a day when we will give an account for what has happened to our children.

Prov.1:7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all knowledge". Many fear the IRS and their threat of audit. Many have been there and can tell you it's no fun! The IRS can only audit the last 5 years---the judgment we will face before the Lord is our whole lifetime and every idle world will be judged! Lets find out how to prepare for this judgment!
