We had the privilege of chatting with Mustafa Shaikh of 36 Chambers about their new live-streaming platform 36 Cinema, which creates a unique experience for film enthusiasts everywhere by marrying live-streaming movies with real-time commentary from directors, actors, film experts, and super fans. Join Aaron as he talks with Mustafa about 36 Cinema, the kind of experience the platform provides, working with Wu-Tang Clan's RZA, and much much more!
We had the privilege of chatting with writer/director Carlo Mirabella-Davis on the phone about his narrative feature debut, Swallow, starring Haley Bennett. The film is a provocative and squirm-inducing psychological thriller loaded with social commentary, so we naturally had lots to discuss. Join Aaron as he talks to Carlo about the project, its origins, his research, the power of genre, and much much more!
We were lucky enough to snag a seat at an early screening of The Lodge with co-directors Severin Fiala & Veronika Franz, along with cast members Jaeden Martell and Lia McHugh in attendance. The Q&A was as entertaining as it was insightful, with Franz & Fiala both being very light and playful, which after seeing the film, only confirms that they're most certainly cuckoo — something which we're absolutely here for.
We had the privilege of sitting down with writer, director, composer, and all around good guy, Benh Zeitlin, to discuss his upcoming film Wendy, a unique revisionist retelling of Peter Pan as seen through the eyes of the titular Wendy. It's loaded with magical realism, naturalistic wonder, and adventure, but it was a long, arduous seven year journey to get it completed. Needless to say, there was plenty to talk about! Join us as we talk with Benh about Wendy's creative process, production challenges, visual influence, and much much more!
