Our in-depth Chattanooga Film Festival coverage continues as Nathan and Eric are joined by an honorary Video Monster and fellow Film Freak, Kyle Kuchta (writer/director), to discuss his short film THE WOODSMAN. This short film tells the story of a Christmas tree salesman trying to get every last tree sold out of his lot on Christmas Eve - a seemingly simple task that carries with it a heavy weight as he tries to live up to his father's memory and continue the family business. This film is carried squarely on the shoulders of John R. Smith, Jr. who does an amazing job of conveying the humor, drama, and mourning that drives this character as he channels a dash of the cinematic stylings of Jim Varney (and I mean that in the best way possible). So grab some tinsel, pour one out for the trees of old, and meet us at the stroke of midnight because you are in for a tree-t as we axe the serious (and occasionally silly) questions to Kyle about his short, THE WOODSMAN!!
