Day 32 in 60 Days of Halloween continues Fear of Going Insane Week, the fear of Graham Skipper, with Antichrist - a Lars von Trier film with powerful performances, unsettling and provocative imagery, and more Willem Dafoe butt than I especially wanted to see (but less than what I had expected from what I had heard of the film).

Day 31 in 60 Days of Halloween continues Fear of Going Insane Week, the fear of Graham Skipper, with Kill List - a solid British horror film that gives the audience credit and doesn't try to hold their hand and ruin the experience with an excess of exposition!

If you enjoy this episode, check out our previous 60 Days of Halloween coverage and be sure to check back tomorrow as we continue Fear of Going Insane Week with Antichrist!!

Day 29 in 60 Days of Halloween is the analysis episode for Kevin and Jennifer Sluder's (of Sunshine Boy Productions) combined fears week of Child in Peril and Being Powerless/Trapped!!  I had the pleasure of talking to Kevin and Jennifer a few months ago to discuss their short film, Heartless.  We had a blast on that episode and I couldn't wait to have them back on The Gargyle Podcast to talk about their fears leading up to Halloween!!

If you enjoy this episode, check out our previous 60 Days of Halloween coverage and be sure to check back tomorrow as we start Fear of Going Insane Week (the fear of Graham Skipper) with Jacob's Ladder!!

Day 28 in 60 Days of Halloween is a "bonus" episode with two reviews. The first is a quick review of Kevin's palette cleanser film, Tigers Are Not Afraid. This is a quick review because the film has not yet been picked up for major release, but I was lucky enough to be able to see it at the Chattanooga Film Festival. The second review, Sequence Break, transitions us into next week and our focus on Graham Skipper's fear of going insane! I've discussed both of these films on past episodes, including a fairly in-depth discussion with Graham Skipper about his film, Sequence Break. But, I wanted to get the Chimerican's take on this film before diving into Fear of Going Insane Week...

If you enjoy this episode, check out our previous 60 Days of Halloween coverage and be sure to check back tomorrow for our analysis episode of Child in Peril & Fear of Being Powerless/Trapped Week with special guests Kevin and Jennifer Sluder!

Day 27 in 60 Days of Halloween cleanses the palette of the combined fears week of Child in Peril & Being Powerless/Trapped, the fears of Kevin and Jennifer Sluder (of Sunshine Boy Productions)! While it still has aspects of both child in peril and being trapped, tonight's movie, Aliens, is able to cleanse the palette because it does so in such a fun, action-packed way. While Eric and I both agree Aliens is a really fun, action/sci-fi/horror flick, we have some pretty major disagreements in what might be one of our most enjoyable episodes yet (at least, we had an absolute blast disagreeing with each other)!

If you enjoy this episode, check out our previous 60 Days of Halloween episodes and be sure to check back tomorrow for more horror coverage! The analysis episode for Child in Peril & Fear of Being Powerless/Trapped Week is postponed until Saturday. So, tomorrow's episode is a bonus palette cleanser of an awesome film!!

Day 26 in 60 Days of Halloween continues the combined fears week of Child in Peril & Being Powerless/Trapped, the fears of Kevin and Jennifer Sluder (of Sunshine Boy Productions)! Tonight's movie continues Kevin's half of the week and the fear of being powerless/trapped with The Descent - a terrifying movie that goes from tragic, to suspenseful, to heart-pounding, before circling back around to tragic. Eric and I both agree that The Descent is an absolutely amazing horror movie that deserves to be seen by anyone who is a fan of horror!!

If you enjoy this episode, check out our previous 60 Days of Halloween episodes and be sure to check back tomorrow as we have a bit of a palette cleanser before diving into the analysis episode for Child in Peril & Fear of Being Powerless/Trapped Week!

Day 25 in 60 Days of Halloween continues the combined fears week of Child in Peril & Being Powerless/Trapped, the fears of Kevin and Jennifer Sluder (of Sunshine Boy Productions)! Tonight's movie continues Kevin's half of the week and the fear of being powerless/trapped with Silent House - a real-time, "single shot" horror movie that borders on home invasion and haunted house. While there are certainly shortcomings on which Eric and I agree, the Chimerican and I had a lot of disagreements on the overall quality of this film!

If you enjoy this episode, check out our previous 60 Days of Halloween episode and be sure to check back tomorrow as we continue the Fear of Being Powerless/Trapped portion of the week with The Descent!

Day 24 in 60 Days of Halloween continues the combined fears week of Child in Peril & Being Powerless/Trapped, the fears of Kevin and Jennifer Sluder (of Sunshine Boy Productions)! Tonight's movie starts Kevin's half of the week and the fear of being powerless/trapped with Hush - a simple, but solid home invasion film from director Mike Flanagan. This is the second movie from Mike Flanagan in this year's 60 Days of Halloween, the first of which was Before I Wake. And while I had mixed feelings on Before I Wake, Hush is a much more solid film that definitely makes me want to see more of Flanagan's work!

If you enjoy this episode, check out our previous 60 Days of Halloween episode and be sure to check back tomorrow as we continue the Fear of Being Powerless/Trapped portion of the week with Silent House!

Day 23 in 60 Days of Halloween continues the combined fears week of Child in Peril & Being Powerless/Trapped, the fears of Kevin and Jennifer Sluder (of Sunshine Boy Productions)! We are still in the Child in Peril portion of the week, but tonight's movie most definitely has overlapping fears with being trapped/powerless.  Tonight's movie is, The Shining!

If you enjoy this episode, check out our previous 60 Days of Halloween episode and be sure to check back tomorrow as we start the Fear of Being Powerless/Trapped portion of the week with Hush!
