Brian and Matt hold the fort down in today’s two-man show as Jack is once again on the 10-Day IL with an undisclosed injury. Reports coming out of the Albanese camp say he will be evaluated on Friday. His return for the Monday show is questionable.

Still, the guys go over their winners and losers of the week, featuring the US Gymnastics women, and men, as well as some NFL wide receivers getting a monster pay day. Brian and Matt then discuss the ramifications of a hectic MLB Trade Deadline, and Matt admits something Brian never thought would come out of his mouth.

We finish the show with a brief Hall of Fame Game preview, and the guys give out their favorite bets for what should be a very lame night of football. You’ll never believe this, but they don’t agree.

Today’s show starts with the guys discussing their weekends up in Section 400. Brian goes through his time surrounded by immaculate vibes at Citi Field and Jack recaps a fun night at the Sam Hunt concert.

As we get into the show, the guys get into their Michaels of the Week which immediately turn contentious after Jack brings up Super Bowl odds and Matt takes a shot at Brian’s Mets. After things calm down, the guys discuss Team USA blowing past Serbia and some other big Olympic storylines before moving to football.

With football approaching, Brian, Jack, and Matt have a heated debate about the Jaguars chances this season after reports out of Jags camp say Trevor Lawrence has looked horrible.

Covering everything from tennis to 3x3 basketball, the guys give their favorite bets on which nations will take home gold medals before dissecting the market of disgruntled NFL wide receivers and coaches refusing to commit to young quarterbacks.

After the discussion turns slightly more political than Brian likes, he urges the guys to get into their “Michaels of the Week” featuring everything from minor league pitchers to the the New York Jets.

The guys then transition into some basketball talk as they react to South Sudan nearly taking down Team USA, Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Arike Ogunbowale torching the Olympic women's team, and Auburn losing to Marshall in the TBT.

After going through a segment featuring everything from SEC Media Day to team USA Basketball, the guys get into their reactions from the MLB All-Star game. Brian immediately has some strong words about the “once great” event, and Matt completely agrees.

We end the show by drafting the best video games of all time in honor of EA Sports CFB 25 dropping this week.

Somehow, the conversation turns towards Bill Nye, Germans, and Patagonia before anyone gives out an actual pick for the game.

The guys finish the show by giving out predictions for MLB’s second half of the season and playing a trivia game to see how well they followed conference realignment in college football.
