Tonight, on Politics Nation, President-Elect Donald Trump is using a fatal tragedy to endear himself to the right-wing and thumb his nose at the Manhattan District Attorney who prosecuted him. The same district attorney also prosecuted former US Marine Daniel Penny in the chokehold death of Jordan Neely on a New York City subway car last year. The president-elect and vice president-elect JD Vance hosted Penny at an Army-Navy College football game in Maryland. The attorney for Jordan Neely’s family joins Politics Nation to talk about Penny’s acquittal and next steps.
