  • Vikings Postgame Report: Vikings Hold On To Win 28 - 25 Over The Saints, Improve To 3 -1 | NO | Week 4
Welcome back to the Vikings Postgame Report. Greg Joseph's five field goals propel the Vikings to a 3 - 1 record this season as the Minnesota Vikings get the win 28-25. Joseph's field goals from 28, 36, 24, 46, and 47 yards gave him a new personal record of five made kicks in a single game. Overall, Special Teams had a big day: Ryan Wright threw a 13-yard pass to Jalen Nailor on a fake punt that helped keep the drive alive and setup Joseph for his 4th field goal of the day and Kris Boyd recovered a punt fumble in the 3rd Quarter that lead to points. The Vikings Offense generated 344 yards on Sunday, lead by Kirk Cousins 273 yards passing with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Justin Jefferson balled out and did "The Griddy" after hauling in 10 receptions for 147 yards, as well scoring on a three-yard rushing touchdown. Collectively, the running game had 81-yards on the ground as the tough Saints Defense made getting down field difficult all day. Defensively, the guys generated a fumble, two sacks and three quarterback hits on Andy Dalton. Paul Allen and Pete Bercich breakdown what they say today in the "spine tingler" from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Gabe Henderson and Ben Leber go "Between The Lines" presented by Gatorade, Head Coach Kevin O'Connell speaks to the media, and Ron Johnson rounds out the show with his "3 Takes" right here on the Week 4 edition of the Vikings Postgame Report.

Osborn. It was a bend-not-break effort and the Vikings running game kept the offense moving after the Lions jumped out to a 14 - 0 lead in the first half. Dalvin Cook, Alexander Mattison and C.J. Ham combined for 155 total yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. QB Kirk Cousins finished his day: 24 of 41, 260 yards passing, 2 passing TD's and 1 sack.  WR Adam Thielen did his part by moving the sticks and capitalizing on a Second Quarter 1-yard touchdown reception.  Thielen finished with 6 receptions for 61 yards and 1 receiving touchdown. It was his 50th career touchdown reception, tying him with Vikings Legend Sammy White for fourth most in franchise history. K.J. Osborn finished as the leading receiver with 5 receptions for 73 yards and the game winning score.  Defensively, the Vikings gave up 14 points to the Lions in just over a quarter and then stiffened up to only allow 10 points for the rest of the game. The Vikings turned over the Lions on downs twice, had 7 passes defensed and forced the Lions into three 40+ yard field goals, two of which they missed. Safety Josh Metellus secured the game with an interception at the Vikings 5-yard line and Kirk Cousins knelt the ball to run out the clock. Paul Allen and Pete Bercich break down the keys to the thrilling victory, Head Coach Kevin O'Connell gives his thoughts at his postgame press conference, Gabe Henderson and Ben Leber go 'Between The Lines' presented by Gatorade, and Ron Johnson shares his 'Three Takes' to round out the show. It's all in the Week 3 edition of the Vikings Postgame Report.

  • Vikings Postgame Report: The Vikings Get Frustrated In Philly 24 - 7 | Week 2
Welcome back to the Vikings Postgame Report. Week 2 saw the Vikings on prime time on Monday Night Football in a late-night affair in Philadelphia. The Eagles outsprinted the Vikings 24 to 7, as all points were scored in the first half of the game. Philadelphia amassed 486 all-purpose yards, while the Vikings finished their night with just 264 yards. QB Kirk Cousins 3 interceptions dampened any momentum the offense tried to generate, as he finished with 241 combined yards of offense and one touchdown toss. Eagles QB Jalen Hurts took advantage of his opportunities, finishing with a combined 390 yards of offense, 3 touchdowns and an INT. Bright spots for Minnesota included Patrick Peterson blocking a field goal and LB Jordan Hicks snagging an INT, but ultimately neither opportunity led to points on the board for the purple. Vikings Tight End Irv Smith Jr. had the lone touchdown for the Vikings offense, as Cousins connected with him on a 2-yard pass in the 2nd quarter. In the end, the Vikings didn't finish drives or put enough points on the board to win. Paul Allen and Pete Bercich break down what went wrong and where they think the team needs to shore up their deficiencies before Detroit comes to town this Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium. Also hear from Head Coach Kevin O'Connell and QB Kirk Cousins as they address the media in their postgame press conferences, Gabe Henderson and Ben Leber go Between The Lines fueled by Gatorade, and Ron Johnson gives his 3 Takes on tonight's loss. All of this and more is in the Week 2 edition of the Vikings Postgame Report.
