Consistency is one of the most difficult achievements for fallible humanity. We even struggle with inconsistency when conducting some of our our most skilled processes. The same is true about our faith. Either we're faithfully inconsistent, or consistent with our faith. The same was true of the many who followed Jesus early on in His ministry. People have many preconceptions. And often they are drawn to those who teach them what they already think is right. They are not willing to accept the hard teaching of scripture or of the Lord. This Sunday we will explore what it takes to be a True Disciple of Christ.

This world has been overtaken by a deluding influence towards the Gospel. Many believe that salvation is a work. There are those who question the authenticity of their salvation. Simply, they're unsure if they've done enough to please God. The Good News is that we can never do enough. The Gospel is crystal clear that only the person & work of Jesus secures our eternal destiny. Contrary to certain beliefs, it's the Lord's eternal salvation that chooses man, not man choosing eternal salvation. From eternity past to eternity future, the person & work of Jesus keeps a firm grip on everything the Father has given Him. In fact, it's "God's Will" that determines this Truth. Through out the Gospels, we find a crowd following Jesus. However, only a few knew or believed who He truly was. It seems many were just following for the free meals. Join us this Sunday, as we continue our study in John Chapter 6. After feeding the 5000, we pick back up after the crowd has followed Jesus and His disciples across the Sea of Galilee. Jesus challenges this crowd, by encouraging them to not seek the food that perishes, but the “Food That Does Not Perish.”

A highway mirage is when water appears to be on the road up ahead, but upon arriving at the location, there's no water at all. The same is true for some who claim to have faith in Christ. From a distance they seem true to form, but upon closer examination there's no evidence of faith in the Son of God. Join us for our sermon "True Faith," from John 6:16-24. We will examine the miracle of Jesus walking on the sea, as His miraculous act exposed the difference between those with & those without true saving faith.

A large gathering in the name of Jesus doesn't always indicate spiritual vitality. In fact, most often it represents people's attraction to pragmatism. This is the case today, as well as when Jesus walked this earth. We look no further to prove the latter than when Jesus fed thousands with only 5 barley loaves & 2 small fish. What happens when culture deviates from God's Word? Quite simply, God's wrath! Greek & Roman culture experienced as much due to their deviation from God's moral standard. As we Americans evaluate our nation, it's clear that God's wrath is upon us too! Join us this Sunday for our sermon "When Culture Deviates," from Romans 1:18-32, where the Apostle Paul details the tell tale indicators of a depraved culture that's deserving of God's wrath.

There are many ideas about who Jesus is. Even the Jewish religious leaders had a hard time identifying Him, even as He walked before them. This should have been easy, as they had the Scriptures and many prophecies to identify Him. Jesus had a specific address to identify His Person and place in history. Such as, the virgin birth, where He would be born, and many other signs and miracles that He would perform. Join us this Sunday as we wrap up John Chapter 5. A sworn testimony is the evidence given by an individual who's committed to tell the truth. The witness stand & depositions are amongst the most common forms of sworn testimony.
