The prayers of mature women are held to the same standard as the prayers of mature men.

I Timothy 2: 8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

I Timothy 2: 9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

Baptism identifies us with Jesus Christ.

In public baptism we are being identified with His death, His burial, and His resurrection.

When we submit to baptism we are saying the gospel story is my story.

He is my Savior, I have confessed, repented, and believed in Him.

It speaks of who we were, who we are, and who we desire to become, because of Jesus Christ.

Baptism speaks of our desire to live a new life.

A life of identification with Jesus Christ.

A life that has a new walk.

A life that brings glory to God.

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

1 Timothy 2:8.

This verse speaks of the identifying characteristics of prayers offered by mature men.It is the prayer not the hands that is important.

This type of consistent prayer should be the practice in every setting these men may find themselves.

If we place ourselves where God can be found.

If we worship Him sincerely.

We will find the beginning of wisdom.

Wisdom follows worship.

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Recognizing Jesus requires a personal perspective.

From Mary to Joseph to the Shepherds to Simeon to Anna to the Wise Men all found Jesus personally.

No one has ever found Jesus from a distance, we must draw near to Him.

Mary, Joseph, and Simeon held Him in their arms.

The Shepherds drew near in wonder.

The Wise Men bowed in worship.

If we are not personally looking for Jesus we will never recognize Him.
