One of the most familiar parables in scripture shows us a picture of life outside of the family of God.  How often do we settle for less when God has so much in store for us?  How often do we eat a meal with swine when there is a fattened calf awaiting us in the presence of God?

Throughout the whole Bible narrative, we see God's heart, and how much he VALUES us. This parable again reveals God's heart for us and the value that he places on it. Listen and hear to how the Lord is reminding you that you are precious, and that He values you.

Have you ever heard someone ask “Have you found Jesus?”  Maybe the question should be “Have you let yourself be found by Jesus?” How are you interacting with Jesus' pursuit of your heart?

What do exorcisms, passive farming and a crippled economy have to do with each other?  Jesus is responsible for each, all in the name of the Gospel.  Let’s take a look at the decisions we are faced with when we encounter the transformative power of Jesus as we dive into the Gospel of Mark 5:1-20.

Pride is one of the main barriers of God's restoration power in our lives. We see that as pride almost prevents a miracle in 2 Kings 5. How are we letting pride keep God at an arms distance?

The time is now to open up our lives to the restoring movement of God’s Holy Spirit. Today is the day to be compelled to follow Christ with joy and passion and deep, deep love!

We are restored through putting our faith in the truth of the gospel. As we see Biblical hero's call on the truth of the gospel in faith we see that God does not just want us to know and internalize truth, but He wants us to count on Him, in faith, to defend us in truth.

The work of God is real and honest. And while we love real peace, love, and joy, God also desires to bring real forgiveness and restoration in relationships. However, this work of God can be painful because it brings up wounds and situations we desire to keep buried. How can we press in together into God's work of forgiveness?

What do you expect of God? When you think of the most amazing things things that God has done in your life, does that frame your level of expectation in worship and are we just focused on "getting by and getting through?"

Today we talk about the restoration of Joseph to his family. We celebrate how God can use every experience of our lives to restore our brokenness. And even more, how He can help us to become restorative agents within our families and our communities!
