GOD WANTS TO BLESS US WITH HIS FAVOR AND HIS GOODNESS. In God’s work of redemption for our lives, HE ALSO MAKES US A BLESSING! And through His people, the Body of Christ, GOD WANTS TO BLESS EVERY PEOPLE GROUP ON THE ENTIRE PLANET THROUGH US.

God’s blessings come to those who decide every day to take God at His word despite circumstances to the contrary. Every day, God desires that we experience His blessings in our lives. God also desires to bless others through us each.

Sabbath rest, a time that God gives us to rest and play in. The time when one gets to stop working so hard and do something one really wants to do. A time to create, to laugh, explore or just nap. That's the kind of Sabbath God designed to be a blessing.

As we explore A YEAR FOR BLESSING in this sermon, we’re going to return to the story of Abraham.  God called Abraham and told him that He would make a great nation through him…and that through this nation, God would BLESS ALL NATIONS…ALL PEOPLE GROUPS.

From "The Message" version of the Bible, Proverbs 18:21 says: "Words kill, words give life; they're either poison or fruit-you choose." What we say to our children and other peoples children, matters. Let's listen to Mary-Margaret as she explains this.

Who is the in crowd in the Kingdom of God? Think about it for a moment... As we'll hear, Jesus effectively says that to live in the Kingdom of God means to be in with the out crowd.

As followers of Jesus Christ today along with all those who have preceded us, we live in the blessing that God gave Abraham…the blessing of a Savior who would come through his lineage.

In Genesis 12 and 13, there are four different altars that Abram built as he journeyed with God to see God’s purposes fulfilled in him and his family… as he endeavored to be the blessed man that God had called and purposed him to be.

God blesses us in order to bless others and His blessings are never suppose to end with us. Blessing is a unique ministry that God entrusts to followers of Jesus so that His kingdom purposes can be affected in people’s lives.
